Impeach Amy Coney Barrett

Just remember that you heard it here first.  And by the way, impeach Trump's other two Supreme Court picks too.  These are all deeply corrupt right wing hacks who were put on the court by an illegitimate President who took office through an act of treason.  And particularly in the case of Barrett, she is judicially totally unqualified and a lunatic on top of it.  The first two took office after lying to the Senate about their real intentions once approved, and of course Barrett will do the same, if McConnell even bothers with hearings this time around.  Out with them.

Now to be a little more temperate here:  I believe that Biden, if elected, will do the right thing on virtually all issues, and will be infinitely better than any criminal the Republicans can find in the sewer that is their leadership.  But I am deeply afraid of one thing.  We have already, in the last half century or so, seen multiple instances of the deepest Republican treachery in the White House, and every time, Democrats have been intimidated or frustrated from demanding an accounting of Republican crimes.  Nixon, Reagan, Bush II and now Trump have all despoiled our government and so far have always gotten off scot free.  And the results have been the same every time: the next round of Republican abuse has been worse than what has come before, until now we are facing open treason, criminality and dictatorship staring back at us from within the White House.  Every time, the Republicans learn a little more about how to strip this country of any pretense of popular rule, until with Trump they are right on the edge of succeeding in their 50 year long deliberate quest to replace democracy with an oligarchic dictatorship.  Mark my words, if they are let off the hook now, it is almost guaranteed that they will succeed next time.

And this is my concern:  Biden has already indicated that he has not learned his lesson from the last twelve years of Republican behavior, first toward the administration of which he was a part, then with what we have seen the last four years.  I am desperately afraid that Biden will force prosecutors to pull their punches, not allow a complete revelation of everything the government knows about Trump's treachery, and will consequently set the stage for the inevitable next Republican attempt to destroy the country.  Biden has a long history of weakness when it comes to standing up to the right (I was certainly aware of it when he was still in the Senate,) and I have no confidence that this time around things will be any different.  The result: even if we decisively defeat the Republicans on November 3rd, all that we will have accomplished will be to foist off on our children and our children's children the need to fight the battle that we should have fought and won.

This time around, the Republican party cannot escape without paying the price of its treachery, or all our suffering will have been for nothing.

The Republicans’ war on democracy has reached the brink of fascism. The enemies of democracy have been ramping up their war for the last 40 years, since Reagan advisor Paul Weyrich openly stated, "We don’t want everybody to vote. When everybody votes we lose.”

Now Trump has openly declared war on our democracy.

Reporter: "Win, lose or draw in this election, will you commit here today for a peaceful transfer of power after the election?"

Fuhrer Trump: "We're going to have to see what happens. Get rid of the ballots and we'll have a very peaceful — there won't be a transfer, frankly. There will be a continuation. The ballots are out of control.”

The militia nuts, Proud Boys, the Klan, and the Republican Party are with him all the way. Right wing terrorism will escalate up if Trump can't steal the election.

The proud boys had a national rally today in Portland. They predicted 20,000 would attend. From the photo I saw, I would say 3-400 actually showed up. And it is difficult to tell how many of them were press or bystanders. The truth is, if the time ever comes for real action, eighty percent of these idiots are going to be hiding under their beds.

I'm relieved to hear their turnout was low and didn't result in violence. Anyone who needs a rifle to "protest" has lost the argument and reduced their position to intimidation and bullying.

Hopefully Trumpolinis narrative falls on deaf ears, and enough sane people vote. Having said that, I think if he has a 1% lead when voting ends expect him to call the election, declare himself president and leave it up to His law firm (DO&J) to argue it in front of the Supreme Court. Expect furrowed brows and concerned looks from a few of the quislings, and HI fives from the brown shirts. Then the militias take over to surround the White House and protect the one true president until he can find a 4 star who will order the military to start cleaning up the country so LAW and ORDER can prevail. Then he will appoint a council of religious leaders ( Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen etc...) to form a government according to biblical law. ( Ok I made up the last sentence Mr. Putin wouldn't approve that)

Dave, they've lost the argument until they start shooting. Then, they win.
