Events In Our Future?
I want to write briefly about two aspects of the current Trump nightmare that I have not seen discussed, or at least two predictions of where this may lead us. First, consider this: The Trump administration has now reached a point of no return. The damage they have done to themselves will never be fully healed, even if somehow they hold on to power. No matter what happens from here out, there are massive numbers of Americans who will never trust them, and (legitimately so) will never give them the benefit of the doubt. It took them only four weeks to go from the normal honeymoon to this abysmal position. Well, okay, but here's the problem: one more incident like the several we have already seen, and they will be wounded beyond cure. At that point, there is exactly one thing, and only one thing that could keep Trump in power: a war.
