I feel the need to dedicate this Wingnut Wrapup to White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, who, as reported at Daily Kos, as well as elsewhere, had the decency to explain to all of us how the Trump administration thinks: "We can't do that anymore. We can't spend money on programs just because they sound good. Meals on Wheels sounds great. […] I can't defend that anymore. We cannot defend that anymore." We cannot defend feeding people who are too old and sick to work. And as for meals for hungry school kids? "They're supposed to help kids who don't get fed at home get fed so they do better in school. Guess what? There's no evidence they're actually doing that." No evidence that feeding kids actually makes them less hungry?
