Sean Hannity today: "I say why isn’t Iraq paying us back with oil, and paying every American family and their soldiers that lost loved ones or have injured soldiers — and why didn’t they pay for their own liberation?" Sean, I shouldn't have to remind you of this, but we didn't "liberate" them.  We invaded their country in an unprovoked war of aggression, killed a million of them, destroyed their infrastructure and left them in the hands of a bunch of sectarian religious fanatics. How much do you think they owe us for that?

John McCain says Democrats who championed the historic health care bill that passed the House haven't heard the last of the issue, predicting reprisals at the polls and in the courts. Interviewed Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America," McCain repeated House Republican assertions that the transformative legislation amounts to a "government takeover" of health care." Excuse me for being so blunt, but who gives a flying fuck what John McCain has to say about anything? Isn't it time that we see the last of this malicious, power hungry liar? Just asking. But Wait! There's More! McCain speaks again: "There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it." There has been no cooperation since the Dems took back Congress...

Readers of this blog may remember the multiple occasions on which I have suggested that "Justice" Clarence Thomas is nothing but a mindless tool of Antonin Scalia. I have to point out today that my characterization is not 100% true. The Supreme Court just voted 8-1 that school authorities exceeded their authority when they strip searched a 13 year old girl to see if she had any Advil hidden away. Clarence Thomas thought the search was just fine. Way to go, Clarence. A few more decisions like this one, and we may decide that you are the most loathsome Supreme court justice, instead of only a distant second. Go for the gold, guy.
