So in the end, the real interest of the world was not, surprisingly enough, on whether John Podesta refused to give some e-mails to the government which were not in his possession*, but exactly how Donald Trump, as President, would stand up to the man who all of our intelligence agencies say was responsible for massively interfering with the integrity of our election process, putting a corrupt, stupid tool (that would be Trump himself) in the White House instead of the massively experienced, honest, serious public servant who should be there. I guess we should have gotten a sign of how that was going to go, the day before the much-heralded meeting between Trump and Putin, when Trump pretty much preempted taking a strong stand about this near act of war, by declaring against the determination of all of the American experts, that there was no reason to believe Russia was behind the treachery in his favor in the recent election. We know now that even the right wing FBI and all of our right wing intelligence services (because right wing is what they have always been) admit that the spies of a foreign dictator were major factors in the election of the man who criminally sits in the White House (well, except on the weekends, when we pay $3 million so he can play golf.) Hey, so what? In the entire history of this country, for almost two and a half centuries, if anything like this had happened, this man would be out of the White House and in jail by now, if he had not already faced execution. But this time around?  Who cares? We watched as Republicans shouted at the top of their voices about utterly made up crimes that Obama and Hillary had allegedly committed; which even if they had been real would have amounted to almost nothing compared to the high treason that Donald Trump has obviously, beyond the shadow of a doubt, committed.  We watched them demand impeachment and imprisonment over and over ...

Well, let's see what President Trump has gotten up to in the last two days.  He has:       Blamed Obama for the leaks coming out of his own staff.       Blamed the generals for the failure of a raid in Yemen, which he cooked up over dinner with         Bannon and his son in law.       Implied that the recent wave of bomb threats and vandalism directed at Jewish targets were actually done by the Jews themselves, to make his Aryan supremacist supporters look bad.       And then he delivered a speech.  A speech filled with lies and hollow promises; a speech whose only virtue was that Trump did not dissolve into a vicious, abusive tantrum against someone who disagreed with him. And the response?  Well, apparently the mainstream press has decided to get back to their primary duty of insuring that the American buy into whatever vicious garbage the Republicans feed them.  Enough "stand...

Well, this has certainly been an interesting 24 hours. There is so much talk about this that I am not going to recount all the details here.  I just want to note that Michael Flynn is the third high level Trump associate to have to be disappeared because of ties to and payoffs from the Russians, the others being former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Carter Page. I don't recall any President in history to have people in this position forced out because of ties to a hostile foreign government.  And Trump, only three weeks into his Presidency, now has three.  Is there anyone on earth naive enough to believe that Trump himself is not involved in this treasonous relationship with Russia?
