Comic Book Villain

While the country has been gripped by the authoritarian violence that has gripped the country the last few days, here are two actions of Donald Trump that have been almost unnoticed.

First, attack the fish:

'Selling off the future’: Trump allows fishing in marine monument...The protected area is about 130 miles from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and it contains endangered right whales and sensitive deep sea corals. It is one of five marine monuments in the country.

And if killing fish for nothing isn't bad enough, how about killing birds too:

"The Trump administration moved forward Friday with plans to scale back a century-old law protecting most American wild bird species despite warnings that billions of birds could die as a result.

More than 1,000 species are covered under the law, and the changes have drawn a sharp backlash from organizations representing an estimated 46 million U.S. birdwatchers.

The 1918 migratory bird law came after many U.S. bird populations had been decimated by hunting and poaching...It was one of the country’s first major federal environmental laws, enacted just after the conservation movement embodied by President Teddy Roosevelt had emerged as a new force in American politics."

Wanton destruction of our world for absolutely no gain.  This is like the behavior of a cartoon villain or the bad guy out of some grade d movie- causing destruction just because he can. Even the world's great historical villains- Hitler, Genghis Khan, Sargon the Great, acted out of some sick view about what was in the interests of their people, not just for the love of causing pain to the innocent.

Donald Trump is deeply mentally ill.  Anyone with sense has known this for years, but his sick, subhuman base continues to cheer him on because they share his sickness, his love of causing pain to others, his love of hatred.  And they are threatening the whole world, but nothing can make them change.
