The Deal Maker Strikes Again

The world's Greatest Deal Maker has done it again- made one of the most consequential diplomatic deals of the century.

No, not between the United States and another country; the deal he has brought about is between two other countries.

Here are the details of this epochal agreement, which has been almost totally ignored by the mainstream press, while they have been busy declaring the impeachment of the President for extortion and bribery a boring snooze fest.  From the Telegraph (yes, people in England do seem to have noticed this story:)

"China signs defence agreement with South Korea as US angers Seoul with demand for $5bn troop payment...

The defence ministers of South Korea and China have agreed to develop their security ties to ensure stability in north-east Asia, the latest indication that Washington’s long-standing alliances in the region are fraying.

An editorial in Monday’s edition of The Korea Times warned that the security alliance between (the US and South Korea) “may fall apart due to Washington’s blatantly excessive demands”.

Mr Trump has previously threatened to withdraw US troops if his demands are not met, with the editorial accusing the president of regarding the Korea-US mutual defence treaty “as a property deal to make money”.

The vast majority of Koreans agree, with a recent survey by the Korea Institute for National Reunification showing that 96 per cent of people are opposed to Seoul paying more for the US military presence."

Get it? One of our oldest and most vital defense agreements in Asia is being thrown in the trash can by Trump, and our former steadfast friend is now turning to its long term enemy for help; an action which must bring a glow of happiness to Russia and China.  This is a catastrophic failure, the frightening implications of which we cannot afford to ignore.  It is one more time that a former ally has been forced to turn to our enemies for a defense pact; the same thing happened in Ukraine.

"Daniel Pinkston, a professor of international relations at the Seoul campus of Troy University, was more blunt in his assessment.

“It’s just extortion”, he told The Telegraph. “It’s little more than a mob boss going around and demanding protection money."

Just like Ukraine, as I said.  This man is nothing but a criminal in thrall to a foreign dictator, and he is openly working to destroy our country.  Meanwhile, every member of his party works constantly to devise some sort of lie that makes this treachery seem okay.

We are on the edge of a precipice, with one leg over the edge, and this story is being almost totally ignored.  It is hard to imagine a situation more terrible for our country, and most Americans will never even hear about it, let alone understand its significance or care. God help us.

The long-term damage to relationships with other Nations can't be fixed by the next President. After Elizabeth Warren cream Trump, I expect the dastardly Rape-publican Party to campaign tirelessly for 2024 on; 1) the DEFICIT is TOO HIGH and 2) The USA isn't respected around the Globe let's blame Liz.

And the Media will still treat rightwing nonsense as serious concerns instead of disingenuous lies from Treasonous Deplorables.
