Man, the right wingers have been bugging me lately. I hate to waste time dealing with the same pathetic lies over and over again. Oh well, someone has to do it, and better a parrot than a human.

One gigantic phony claim has been all over the right wing web lately- the notion that Obama, by offering an administration job to Joe Sestak, rather than have him fight it out with Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, somehow committed a gigantic act of corruption. I don't know when it became a crime for the President of the United States to offer someone a job, but practically every right wing website has been screaming for "investigations" of this simple, perfectly normal act. Many of them are actually calling for Obama to be impeached for having the gall to ask a member of his own party to come to work in the White House. One example:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Dick Morris: Sestak Bribery Scandal Is Impeachable Offense- “It is illegal to offer someone anything of importance or value in return for a vote, or running or not running for office.”

Really? It's illegal to offer someone another job if they want to run for the Senate? Who knew?

I'm not going to bother you with any more examples, since this lunatic notion has shorter legs than a Corgi dog.

Well, on to the usual assortment of hate-filled delusion:

Stephanie Fried, Pajamas Media: "Always Defiant, West Bank Settlers Feel Abandoned...Soon after the second intifada erupted, Medan and three friends — all in their mid-twenties — founded Avigail. The four had all been raised on West Bank settlements and dreamed of one day starting their own community. But government approval for new settlement building was not forthcoming, so the only way to go in 2001 was illegal. Squat and stake a claim."

So, they "started their own community" by stealing someone else's land, and now they are angry that the State of Israel won't aid them in their criminal behavior. Sorry guys- even the right wing ass Netanyahu isn't dumb enough to get mixed up in that one.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Jindal Furious: Rips Obama For Dismal Response to Oil Spill Disaster"

Oh. Now he wants help from Obama. Remember when he wouldn't touch federal money with a stick? In case you've forgotten, that was when it would help poor people. Now that Jindal wants the Federal Government to pay to clean up an oil company's mess, that's a different story. Good thing Jindal didn't let Obama spend the money on American citizens, so it's still there to give to BP.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "State-Run Media Now Comparing Arizona Law to Tiananmen Square Massacre"

Leaving aside the fact that they are doing no such thing, I just want to point out that the TV networks and newspapers have now become the "state-run media," or at least I see this phrase over and over again from wingnuts. When did that happen? I mean, I know Obama took over all of the hospitals and car companies, but when did he take over Fox and CNN? I must have missed that one.

Christopher Grey, World Net Daily: "Why gov't, media, corporations, celebs embrace 'green' scam"

Because it isn't a scam? Because they want their grandchildren to live in a decent world? That's my guess.

Astute Bloggers: "IS DEMOCRACY A BUG OR A FEATURE? TO THE LEFT, IT'S A BUG."

You know it's funny that it is always the Republicans that furiously object when people call this country a democracy, and angrily insist that it is not a democracy but a republic.

Clayton E. Cramer, Pajamas Media: "Sensible libertarians acknowledge that a free market is not enough to end all racial discrimination — and that a certain amount of it is the price we pay for living in a free society. This is a fine argument to make as an abstract principle — but it isn’t a path to political victory."

And God knows, treating people decently is something a Republican would never contemplate, if it "isn’t a path to political victory."

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Tea Party protesters greeted the Binge-Spender in Chief yesterday at his San Francisco fundraiser."

And here they are. What do you see there, four dozen? Six dozen? Obama spoke a couple of weeks ago at the University of Michigan stadium. They gave away 80,000 tickets in two hours. The tea party is such a joke, or at least it would be if the damned "state-run" media would only tell the truth for a change.

Henry Lamb, Renew America: "Rand is Right...An individual who uses his own resources to invest in a risky business should have the absolute right and authority to decide to whom he will provide services."

To hell with the niggers.

World Net Daily EXCLUSIVE! "Finally, lawmakers to hear 'Bilderberg conspiracy' Author sees opportunity to bring 'shadow government' into mainstream"

God, what next? Some damned Republican congressman like Michelle Bachmann reading from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion on Fox News? How far does this have to go before enough is enough?

Astute Bloggers: "ANOTHER SIGN OF THE ENDTIMES FROM GREECE?!? Greek officials say a horde of frogs has forced the closure of a key northern highway for two hours...FROGS ARE A WELL-KNOWN PLAGUE"

A plague of frogs. I wonder why God decided to send a plague of frogs to Greece. I just don't get it. Get back to me if he kills all of your first born children and I might decide that you are on to something here.

Astute Bloggers: "Our War-time president is skipping memorial Day ceremonies. Our War-time president is skipping memorial Day ceremonies. REPEAT: Our War-time president is skipping memorial Day ceremonies."

As did Reagan and George W. Bush. Of course it wasn't communist treason when they did it.

Dear Green Eagle,

Those fringe, maniacal websites are hazardous to your feathers and could do more harm to them than that awful corporate-made, deregulated oil spill in the Gulf.

The fringe has a loud noise machine, and little else.

They have guns, too.
