Wingnut Wrapup
A short lineup today, with major contributions from Renew America, my current pick as looniest website on earth:
Lloyd Marcus, Renew America: "Stop allowing the left to set the rules"
Lloyd, let me explain something to you about elections, and what they are about. First, you see....Oh never mind, what's the point.
Kevin Price, Renew America: "Obama should learn from FDR's mistakes"
Apparently FDR caused the depression with his stimulus, two years before he was even elected. Obama is about to do the same thing. If he keeps up his stimulus programs, he will succeed in causing an economic collapse that happened before he was elected, too. We'll think about that reasoning, Kevin. Off hand, I'm just not sure that I buy it.
J. R. Dieckman, Renew America: "Doomsday is coming to America"
Obama's fault again, somehow.
Jen Shroder, Renew America: "Obama's illegitimate war on Israel"
Not so illegitimate that he hasn't lately earned the praise of right-leaning Israeli prime minister Netanyahu, and his defense minister, Ehud Barak, but apparently the American right has more concern for Israeli security than Israel's own conservative government.
Or maybe they don't give a damn about Israel, and they will tell any lie to attack Obama, regardless of how Israelis feel about things. Take your choice.
Reverend Grant Swank, Renew America: "Biblical Christians hold that the God of Scripture has intervened on numerous occasions in order to keep our Republic intact. Why? One major reason is that America is the only nation that began with believers holding high Christ as Savior and the Bible as the Word of God."
The only nation. No other nation in history was founded by Christians. At least not the kind of Christians Rev. Swank is talking about.
Thank God for that.
Fred Hutchison, Renew America: "A snake on the capitol dome"
Fred, maybe you should pay a little more attention to your fellow posters there on Renew America, before you make assertions like this. Here is photographic evidence from another article today, on your very own website:
Doesn't look like a snake to me. Boy, I bet you feel foolish now.
World Net Daily: "Slippery Tactics: Obama declares war on oil-Calls to end fossil-fuel subsidies...."
So, it's "war on oil" if we dare stop giving billions of our tax dollars every year to the most profitable corporations in the history of the world. Don't forget, by the way, we can't afford universal health coverage.
James Lewis, American Thinker: "As President Obama fumbled badly at the UN and G-8 last week, Sarah Palin began re-defining herself as presidential timber."
And you began re-defining yourself as delusional thinker of the day. Keep telling yourself that, guys. Believe me, there's no one on earth we'd rather run against than this braindead, lying quitter.
Well, that's enough for today. The rest is just boring garbage. See you later.
