Screaming on Both Sides
Here's a perfect example of how our "liberal press" contributed and continues to contribute to the mess that our country is in today. This report on the utterly nauseating right wing fit over Obama's speech to schoolchildren, from The Atlantic:
"How Obama's School Speech Became "Propaganda"
All the evidence says it's just a speech, but that hasn't stopped the screaming on both sides"
Screaming on both sides? One side in a mad, lunatic, and yes, racist tantrum, and the other side objecting to this pollution of our national political discourse? That consists in "screaming on both sides?"
Is there never a situation, no matter how one sided, that will induce the press to place the blame where it belongs? Oh yes, when a Democrat gets a blow job. But when Republicans engage in this filthy betrayal of our country, somehow it's both sided doing it.
Thanks a lot, guys.
Update: On the other hand, this forthright comment from the L.A. Times:
"Those who are whipping up hysteria over the president's address are playing a dangerous game with an unhinged segment of public opinion."
Thanks to you too, this time seriously, for saying in print for once what is so obviously the fact.
