Time For Another Impeachment
Perhaps you have seen this map showing the Trump Administration's distribution of the hundreds of billions of dollars in small business loans that were appropriated by Congress:
I need hardly point out that the vast majority of this money has been directed to Republican States, even though at this point Democratic States have been hit hardest by the pandemic. This is a criminal misuse of his power to advance his own electoral interests and those of his party, with absolutely no regard for the good of the country.
While this is going on, Trump is inciting right wing violence against the country. After the insane gathering at the Michigan State Capitol on Wednesday, financed by a member of Trump's cabinet, Trump today posted the following three tweets:
"LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!"
"LIBERATE MICHIGAN!"
"LIBERATE MINNESOTA!"
And this is what he is promoting:
Heavily armed right wing fanatics, threatening gun violence if Trump does not get what he wants. This is how he wants to "liberate" the country from the rule of law. He has even, this week, resorted to threatening to dismiss the Congress so he can do whatever he wants.
It should not be necessary to say that this combination of corruption and incitement to anti-government violence should result in his immediate removal from the Presidency, but apparently it is. And the only tool available to try to do the right thing is another impeachment. Will it happen? Of course not; Democrats have spent decades training themselves to act supine in the face of Republican criminality, and it won't stop now. But it is their duty and they should do the right thing.
Update (already- I only wrote this post half an hour ago)- And here they are in Minnesota, hundreds assembling in close proximity to scream their rage at the governor. At least the gun jackasses shown above didn't actually shoot anyone. It is a virtual certainty that at least several people will die as a result of this deadly gathering, some of them the actual participants.

Can the intransigence of the right have now morphed into little more than a death wish? Have we reached the point where forty percent of the voting population of the United States will die before they will turn on their cult leader? Maybe the Reverend Jim Jones was just a harbinger of what our whole country would turn into.
