Thank Heaven That Donald Trump Is Our President

Because, if Hillary were President, Republicans would never let any stimulus bill get through the Senate, screaming from now until infinity that Democrats were about to create a three trillion dollar budget deficit.  They would have never allowed a penny for unemployment relief or any other sort of aid to American workers, and insisted that all of the money go to rich people and businesses, and would immediately start an intolerable din demanding that the money be paid back out of the Social Security trust fund, and with cuts to Medicare. They would trumpet until Judgement Day how this proves that Democrats are incapable of governing.  And the mainstream press would just sit there and say, "well, maybe they have a point."

Deal with it:  they would care about nothing except owning the libs and keeping their corrupt criminal enterprise going until the whole country collapsed.  Of course, that is all they have ever cared about, but at least we can have their hideous behavior this time with a little less attack on Hillary.

And the Republicans will get around to demanding payback from Social Security the very second they lose the Presidency. That's what they've wanted all along, this is just the excuse du jour.

And they will get it. Except for the "greatest generation" the one living now. The 70 and 80 year olds that elected the greatest president. I've tried to think of a way to explain this to pop-in-law. He's 80 so he was never drafted but he's in the greatest generation. The ones who "earned" their pensions and social security. Give it a year and they'll gut SS and Medicare and Medicaid. Because there won't have been an election. Remember "many people are saying" there shouldn't be one.

Hamas

  Of ocurse I am going to take the opportunity to talk about the Hamas attack on Israel.   First, I'd like to talk about my background, or baggage, regarding the country.   I have lived in Israel, some years ago.   This was not for religious reasons; I spent several months there working on a movie.   During pre-production, weeks of location scouting and shooting the movie, I was all over the country, and spent a fair amount of time in the West Bank, where we also shot.   This included a lot of places that normal tourists would not see, including predominantly Arab areas such as East Jerusalem, the Arab quarter of the old city, Ramla and the southern part of Jaffa, which is predominantly Arab.   It also included heavily Orthodox areas like Mea Shearim.   I dealt with Israeli Arabs, Palestinians and Bedouins.     Here are a few things I believe I learned there:   First of all, the Palestinians I knew were perfectly normal people with the same interest in living a safe, secure
