Wingnut Wrapup

Panic in the streets version.

Courtney O'Brien, Town Hall:  "Lewandowski: It's the FBI's Fault Trump Campaign Was Ignorant of Manafort's Record...Some critics charge that it was up to the Trump campaign to do a rigorous background check on the above men before trusting them with the inner workings of a presidential campaign. However, Lewandowski is telling the media that the FBI is ultimately responsible."

See, when you commit a crime, it's actually the FBI's fault for not stopping you before you do it.  If you are a Republican, anyway.

Susan Wright, Red State:  "We Have Not Forgotten: Key Militant In Benghazi Attack Arrested...The mystery that was a central theme of the two-year House Benghazi Committee hearings was the question of who gave the stand down orders that kept help from arriving more swiftly"

An order which, as we have known from the very beginning, was never given.  But the need is great, so BENGHAZI!!!!!!

Lucian Wintrich, Gateway Pundit:  "ANTIFA Leader: “November 4th […] millions of antifa supersoldiers will behead all white parents”

Lucian cites the following tweet as proof:

"we, ANTIFA, ARE going to Exploge the white USArace with acme tnt crates UNTIL they are cobered with soot and waving a white rag on a stick"

Acme TNT crates.

Good thinking there, Lucian.  Talk about not getting the joke.  By the way, Lucian, lefties can spell because they went to school.  It's right wingers that write like that.

Joshua Caplan, Gateway Pundit:  "WOW! Rep. Nunes Reveals Sessions DOJ ‘Ignoring Leaks’ — Deep State In Executive Branch Obstructing Fusion GSP Investigation"

Because if there is one thing that is a true threat to American democracy, it is people knowing what is going on in the White House.

Timothy Meads, Town Hall:  "We Shouldn't Rush To Judgment Over CNN's Report"

We should, however, rush to judgment about Benghazi, the e-mails, the pizza parlor racket and the thousand other blatant lies Republicans tell about Democrats.  And while we are on the subject:

Matt Vespa, Town Hall:  "Top Virginia Paper Rips VA Democrats, Your Mailer Against Republican Candidate Is ‘Practically Libel’

Whereas, there is nothing wrong with Republicans all over the country spreading lies about Hillary running a child rape racket from the nonexistent basement of a pizzeria.  That isn't libel, only reasonable suspicion.

Jeff Crouere, Town Hall:  "Hillary, You Can Run, But You Can't Hide"

She is in Europe, promoting her book, which is apparently running from something.  After all:

"(An) undercover eyewitness reportedly has evidence on how the Russians schemed to bribe the Clintons and others in the Obama administration. Seemingly, the efforts were quite successful as former President Bill Clinton received a $500,000 speaking fee from a Moscow bank"

Former President Bill Clinton is not, of course, a part of any administration or other government entity, and these days that is not a particularly high speaking fee for an ex-President, particularly considering that there is no evidence he did, or even could do, anything in return for the money, other than giving his speech.  But it is certainly more important than Trump's treason, I guess.

And while we are on the subject, time for a little right wing humor:
Boy, I bet you got a big laugh out of that- the Trump treason charges are sure blowing up in her face, aren't they?

Matt Vespa, Town Hall:  "Concern Troll: No, Hillary Clinton, The GOP Is Not 'Imploding'"

And Matt is right about this one too.  The entire Republican party is just fine with treason as long as their backers get their four trillion dollar payoff.

Susan Wright, Red State:  "Jerry Falwell Jr. Urges Christians to Abandon Their Values in Favor of Steve Bannon’s Agenda"

What values?

Tyler O'Neal, PJ Media:  "Christian College Teaches Mandatory Patriotism Class, With Rifle Marksmanship"

Christian college.  Anyone who decided voluntarily to go there is lost to decency anyway,  since most "Christian colleges" seem to be places to teach them to refine their ability to ignore what Christianity is all about.  Hint: it's not about "rifle marksmanship," which the article calls "The most creative response to Colin Kaepernick;" i.e. apparently to kill him for excercising his Constitutional rights while black.

And a very small taste of what is to come from the right in the near future:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit and certified member of the Trump White House press corps: "Crooked Cop Mueller Leaks Investigation Info to CNN Continuing His Long History of Corrupt and Criminal Actions"

Well, if you are going to lie about things, Jim, go big, I guess...something Jim has had so much practice doing, as perhaps the most unapologetic liar to ever appear in Wingnut Wrapup.

Of course, anyone who stands up to Trump is a crook, right?

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Crooked Comey Taunts Trump Camp Over Mueller Indictment in Cryptic Tweet"

Because it is criminal to criticise the fuehrer, right?  But wait-there's more:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "BANANA REPUBLIC: Dirty Cop Mueller is Looking at Manafort Wire Transfer From Before Campaign in 2013"

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "HUGE! Crooked Cop Comey and FBI Used Fake Dossier to Intimidate and Spy on Trump"

Well, I guess you can see what kind of "reporting" it takes to get White House press credentials in the Trump era.

Joshua Caplan, Gateway Pundit:  "Body Language Expert: Hillary Clinton ‘Afraid of Prosecution’

And she had better be, too.  With the traitor and would-be dictator Trump in charge of the Justice Department, things are going to get really ugly when the truth about him starts coming out.

And maybe this is a good opportunity for another right wing humor break:

Because that is exactly what Democrats say, unlike Republicans, who stick strictly to the truth:

Patricia McCarthy, American Thinker:  "Hillary Clinton: Faust and Mephistopheles Rolled into One"

Lying about Hillary doing what they themselves are actually doing.  Pretty much SOP from Republicans.

Man, these people are a laugh a minute.

And here is what you get for even looking like you are following the law:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "AG Jeff Sessions Says He Will Not Prosecute Clintons or Deep State Crooks – Sessions Is Compromised and Must Go!"

If you won't throw Trump's enemies in prison, you must be destroyed, even if you are a certified right wing jackass.  That's the sort of country we're headed for, folks, and one of our two political parties is just fine with that.  So, let's just finish today's coverage of Jim Hoft with this item and then move on:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Sebastion Gorka: If This Was 1950 Hillary Clinton Would Get the Electric Chair"

Well, not quite the fifties; maybe the thirties.  In Germany.  Not surprising that Gorka, being a proud, open Nazi, is all in favor of things like this.  Maybe a little surprising that the President of the United States would give a Nazi a job- or it would have been surprising up to a year ago.  Now, not so much.

And, maybe you don't have enough to worry about?

Leo Hohman, World Net Daily:  "Muslims team with antifa to obliterate critics of 'religion of peace'

Evidence?  Well, nothing, really, but so what?

Alicia Powe, World Net Daily:  "Judge Roy Moore identifies biggest threats to U.S."

He looked in the mirror?  I won't go into this any more.  Anyone who has read Wingnut Wrapup over the years could predict with 100% accuracy exactly what Judge Roy Moore has to say, since it is the same pack of lies that every right winger tells every chance he gets.

Adriana Cohen, World Net Daily:  "Dems can't insult their way to victory"

Because of course Republicans never descend to smears and insults.  Adriana's complains about the following Democratic claims:

“The fact is that the Republican Party today is the party of racism.”“the White House itself is full of white supremacists.”

Still waiting for the insults, Adriana.  Those things are true.

Todd Starnes, Town Hall:  "Thousands of Teen Farmers Salute America"

Aww...isn't that nice.  Because they know so much more about what is going on in our country than, say, Harvard professors.

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "Fact Check: No, New IG Report Doesn't Prove IRS Targeting Scandal Was a Right-Wing 'Myth'

Translation into English:  Yes it does.  That was established years ago, but since when have facts ever stood in the way of right wing smears?  Just wait a while, until people get hazy about the truth, and then start repeating the lies all over again.

Tyler O'Neil, PJ Media:  "Paul Manafort's Arrest in the Mueller Trump-Russia Probe...Does this spell doom for Trump, or for Clinton allies?"

Yeah, which do you think?  The President's campaign manager is arrested for collusion against the United States...who does that threaten, the President himself or Hillary Clinton?  Example number about one trillion about why it's impossible to reason with a Republican.

Joshua Caplan, Gateway Pundit:  "Hannity Explodes on Mueller For Distracting From Hillary Funding ‘Trump Dossier’

Yeah, that's the story- talking about the Trump administration's treason is just a distraction from Hillary doing...something, who knows what?

And now how about a little more pathetic deflection:

Daniel J. Flynn, Breitbart: "The Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA) advanced conspiracy theories in the immediate aftermath of John F. Kennedy’s assassination"

Oh, 55 years ago or so, and which had absolutely no effect at the time.  But much more important that we should obsess about this than about treason in the White House.

And how about hitting a dying man?

USA Fast Politics:  "John McCain is known for his liberalism and inconsideration for the American people. Well, he has found it appropriate to just stop even being amicable. He has now successfully insulted one of the most important men in the world. John was just fine with calling Vice President Mike Pence an “asshole”. John has gone off the deep end and is showing that he is a criminal. He only cares about making money off of the blood of American soldiers, he doesn’t care about this nation or his constituents in Arizona."

John McCain is known for his liberalism despite having a current American Conservative Union rating of 100%.  He is a criminal for calling Mike Pence a name. He only cares about making money off of the blood of American soldiers, despite having served with honor and suffered five years as a prisoner of war.  He has gone off the deep end by telling the truth.  How do you even begin to deal with people like this writer, without just cutting them down with a Katana and feeding them to your pit bulls?

And a little disconnect from reality, what:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Rep. Devin Nunes: ENTIRE FBI May Be Lying About Who Was Funding Anti-Trump Dossier"

Right.  The ENTIRE FBI!  Long known as a left wing hatchet group!  Apparently, it never occurred to Rep. Nunes that the ENTIRE FBI might be TELLING THE TRUTH!

And now, let's go out with an economics lesson from Jim Hoft:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "ANY REPUBLICAN who Pushes Deficit Neutral Tax Plan & Screws US Workers Needs to Be Immediately Primaried from Office"

See, it is a gigantic gift to US workers to saddle them with four trillion dollars in debt in order to give the money to hyper-rich Republican backers.  No surprise there- this has been the Republican line for decades now.

Well, enough.  More than enough.  Bye now.

Harvard professors gave George W. Bush an MBA. I'll take my chances with the teen farmers.

Yeah, the usual snide remark. If you really think some ignorant teenager from Nebraska is a better source of information than a Harvard professor, regardless of what dorks some of them are, you are a fool. And if not, you are just an anti-intellectual reverse snob.

I will tell you a story. There is a college at Cambridge, Magdalene College, which is legendary for admitting what they call upper class twits, or roughly the equivalent of George W. Bush. When I was a graduate student at Cambridge, I remember the master of Magdalene college being upbraided by someone for this practice. His answer was as follows: whether you like it or not, many of these wankers are going to end up running our society. We make an effort to prepare them as well as we can to have some vague conception of what their duty is; do you really think it would be better to go on to their inevitable positions of power with no one having ever made any kind of effort to temper the worst of their ignorance and irresponsibility? Bush is a perfect example of this, as is the current President, who was an abominable student at a highly regarded business school. Maybe, particularly with Trump, family background utterly blotted out the attempt to educate him, but I guess I see their point in at least making the attempt.

Finally, I wonder how many Harvard professors you have ever known. Or are you just parroting back the usual Republican hatred of people who actually know anything?
