I've seen so much wrongheaded commentary the last few months about the similarities between Trump and Hitler. The many false analogies we see only obscure the real threat, so I think the more we know about the Nazi era the better. Quisling is sort of a minor figure in the whole thing, but at this point in our history, it is important to have an idea about what treason among high government officials looks like.
Well, I think it does, although we must remember that Petain played a very honorable role as a general in World War I, which puts him way ahead of Trump.
