The Lying Press Versus The Truth

 Reported in the mainstream press:


"REPORTER: “[Zelensky is] not abandoning his people in Ukraine and he’s taking up arms for his countrymen. If you were in a similar situation as president, would you take up arms like Zelensky?”

TRUMP: “Well, you never know about bravery. Some people think they’re brave and they’re not brave, and other people don’t think of themselves as very brave and they step up. You never know until you get tested.”




The Truth:

TRUMP: “Where did I put those bone spur X-rays?  They weren't in those fifteen boxes I sent to Mar-a_Lago, were they?”

I wish I could find a copy of the newscast, but back when we invaded Afghanistan after 9/11 I saw a photo op with Shrub with a bunch of Special Forces troops getting ready to deploy and he said "There are times when I wish I could go join you in this adventure."

My TeeVee came within a millimeter of losing it's life violently but I couldn't decide between just a brick or a big cinderblock to hurl at it.

Hamas

  Of ocurse I am going to take the opportunity to talk about the Hamas attack on Israel.   First, I'd like to talk about my background, or baggage, regarding the country.   I have lived in Israel, some years ago.   This was not for religious reasons; I spent several months there working on a movie.   During pre-production, weeks of location scouting and shooting the movie, I was all over the country, and spent a fair amount of time in the West Bank, where we also shot.   This included a lot of places that normal tourists would not see, including predominantly Arab areas such as East Jerusalem, the Arab quarter of the old city, Ramla and the southern part of Jaffa, which is predominantly Arab.   It also included heavily Orthodox areas like Mea Shearim.   I dealt with Israeli Arabs, Palestinians and Bedouins.     Here are a few things I believe I learned there:   First of all, the Palestinians I knew were perfectly normal people with the same interest in living a safe, secure
