I just wanted to take a moment to talk about why I have been posting almost nothing lately.
Man, could there be a more disgusting, boring time in American politics? The Republicans have now perfected their ability to prevent the government from doing a single decent thing, and the Democrats, cowering in the corner as usual, won't even take the simplest actions (i.e. filibuster reform) to set things back on an even keel. So, our country continues to lurch toward oblivion.
And in the meantime, our President sees to it that the rollout of his signature achievement is a colossal failure, for which (sorry, guys) there is no real excuse, and which has utterly erased the polling bump the Democrats got when Republicans tried to destroy representative government a few weeks ago.
I've been talking about endless aspects of this problem for years, as have many others who can see what is happening right in front of them. Of course, telling the truth is a guaranteed way to find yourself locked out of the conversation. I'm just worn out with stating the obvious, largely to people who can already see it perfectly well on their own.
When there is something worth saying, I'll be there, but until then, it looks like little more than Wingnut Wrapup from me for a few days.

That they have been the reason government doesn't work is incidental.
But, as everyone has written keep your chin up you've been fighting the good fight and doing the hard slog.
Solidarity.
