Supremely Depressing News

From the Washington Post, more about what it really means to be a "strict constructionist:"

"The Supreme Court ruled today that prisoners have no constitutional right to DNA testing that might prove their innocence long after their convictions.

In the court's first examination of how to deal with the rapidly evolving field of DNA evidence, the court's conservative majority prevailed in ruling against establishing a post-conviction constitutional right to DNA evidence."

Brought to you by the same five to four conservative majority that brings you every rotten, corrupt, evil spirited decision that ever comes out of this court.

How could anyone, in any way, be hurt by allowing defendants to pay for their own DNA tests? But these guys are going to rule against individual rights whenever they can. This is not about allegiance to the constitution, it is about allegiance to the rich and powerful- the only loyalty any Republican recognizes.
