Thanks for the Thought, Grant

I am just stunned by this statement by the Rev. Grant Swank, one of the looniest of all loons:

"Obama is pained due to recent right-thinking citizens howling loudly and long enough. Grassroots town halls have screeched at Congress. The mob hysteriacs who voted in a celebrity rather than a free enterprise, constitution-friendly statesman are losing ground."

I wonder if, say, a Martian could distinguish between "right-thinking citizens howling loudly" and "mob hysteriacs."

Am I missing something here, or would it be fair to say that "citizens howling loudly" might in fact be considered to be "mob hysteriacs?"

I guess I'm just not thinking right today.

It all depends on what they are howling. If they are shouting about transparency, the Constitution, and utilitarianism, along with asking just questions, then they are taking the proper course of action and are entirely justified in their actions. If they are shouting random slogans that mean nothing while carrying around Che flags, without ever mentioning the construct of the US government or its entities, then they are a mindless mob, and nothing more.

Miss me?

Derek,

How about if they are shouting about transparency, the constitution and utilitarianism, but they actually don't mean a word of it, but are just a bunch of hate-filled greedy, ignorant pigs who care about nothing but themselves, but are too embarrassed to admit the truth, so they cover their tantrums with jingoistic phrases.

So even though they have never shown any inkling of greed or ignorance, you believe them to be so while simultaneous in denial?

That is a big claim, and it has no basis.
