Mobs

Phony mobs have been showing up at Democratic appearances all around the country, organized and paid for by a coalition of businesses and the Republican party.

Why is this happening, other than the fact that they are all total assholes?

I haven't heard anyone say this straight out, but I think they are afraid of the obvious: Any person who hears the simple facts about health care reform is going to side with the Democrats. The only chance the Republicans have to avoid their biggest legislative defeat in seventy years is to keep anyone from hearing the truth. So, they are going to shout the Dems down.

That's it- the whole story of Republican mob rule.

You'd think Bush-Gore mobs would have alerted us to this tactic!

You nailed it right there.

The problem is that tactics that aren't ethical or have the public's best interest in mind do sometimes work.
Karl Rove had some success.

Anonymous,

You are so right, or we wouldn't have the last eight years to undo. Nevertheless, we have a winning hand here, and unless some idiot like Harry Reid does his usual pathetic job of capitulation, we should win this one.

Unless they hear how much it will cost. 57% of Americans do not want a healthcare reform package that significantly increases the deficit, 37% don't care.

There is a difference between wanting healthcare reform and wanting what the Democrats are pushing. The Democrats are pushing a plan that is unconstitutional, costly, and mandatory.

Good to see you are the puppet of the most powerful lobbying group in America.

Still searching for that integrity, I presume.

No, Derek, I'm searching for my missing green sock. Any idea where it went?

I'm guessing it is right where you lost your integrity.

Or maybe your dignity.

Found your sock, man. Turned it into a sock-puppet of that powerful lobbying group you represent -- decent, generous, well-read, hard-working, men and women, boys and girls. We're rooting for you G.E.! Keep rooting out the sludge and exposing it to fresh air and sunshine.

And Derek,

Maybe you never noticed, but parrots don't have any dignity.

P.S. "The Democrats are pushing a plan that is unconstitutional, costly, and mandatory."

Good job on the talking points there, Derek. All lies as usual, but you did a great job of repeating them.

Wait a minute. Wait a minute there! Who is the real parrot here?

It all makes sense now. You simply repeat whatever TP or moveon or daily kos says. No intellect, no logic, and obviously, no dignity, just blind and unquestionable loyalty.

" All lies as usual, but you did a great job of repeating them."

Unconstitutional: Where in Article 1 Section 8 does it say they can take over healthcare?

Costly: Did you see the deficit projections? Hundreds of billions then eventually, trillions of dollars will be added to the deficit.

Mandatory: I will be fined $2500 if I do not have health insurance. Sounds mandatory to me.

Again and again, I prove you wrong. If you weren't a parrot, I suppose this would hurt your dignity.

Prove me wrong then we will determine who is the parrot.

Derek,

Everything you have to say is not the truth, but a lying Republican talking point.

And as for section 8, do you know what the term means? You are about ready for one.

"Everything you have to say is not the truth, but a lying Republican talking point."

How many times do I have to say this? Prove it.

"And as for section 8, do you know what the term means? You are about ready for one."

What term?

Derek, I recognize that you're a teenager, and still at the stage of development where you think you have a right to dominate the conversation with shrieking fits of specious vitriol. But I must tell you, reading past your ignorant tripe is tedious in the extreme. Couldn't you just, please, go away and grow up on someone else's dime. I enjoy G.E.'s posts and find them informative, fair and impeccably correct. You're in the way. Scoot.

Sorry, but if I can keep at least one person from living in their liberal dreamworld then I will.

I don't think you have much chance of accomplishing that here. Not the way you're going about it.

Because I use facts and logic? You may be right, GE. Maybe if it switch it to empty rhetoric and completely lies I can get somewhere.
