Wingnut Wrapup
Here are the first Right Wingers I've found that think it's okay to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Honduras if he's a liberal:
Moe Lane, Red State: "note that proto-dictator Hugo Chavez is spitting nails on this. Given that, as the Wall Street Journal notes, this entire thing got started over President Zelaya’s attempt to set up a referendum in opposition to pretty much the opposition of the rest of the Honduran government, civilian and military… well. A man is known by his friends..."
Gateway Pundit: "Tinpot Dictator Taken Down In Honduras-- Chavez Slams Coup... Obama Meddles"
Setting up a referendum- that's sure a good reason to depose a legally elected leader. That's a real victory for democracy. And, as for that "tinpot dictator," how dare he get more votes than the other guy. Well, all's well that ends well. The military junta that now controls Honduras could never be run by a tinpot dictator.
Warner Todd Huston, Red State: "6 States Want to Nullify Obamacare With Opt Out Law"
I. e. ignore federal law. How patriotic of you.
Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit: "AN OVERSEAS TEA PARTY QUESTION, from reader James Spiller: “Do you know of any tea parties for Americans abroad? I’m in London"
James, if you can't find a tea party in London, you really are in trouble. Take a couple of deep breaths and calm down.
Confederate Yankee: "Pissing Away America's Promise: Cap and Trade Passes 219-212....Never have so few done so much to so many for so little."
Because it's such an evil thing to prevent our great grandchildren from living through the extinction of human life.
Confederate Yankee: "Alleged Moonwalking Pedophile Dies"
All class, there, Yankee.
Newsmax: "Col. Oliver North Slams President Obama's Foreign Policies as Unconscionable"
As unconscionable as when you illegally sold the same mullahs in Iran two thousand missiles, to finance your attempted right wing takeover of the democratically elected government of Nicaragua, Ollie?
Henry Lamb, Renew America: "Thank the Democratic Socialist Party"
You're welcome, Henry. So nice of you to care.
Michael Breschiani, Renew America: "While we reel from the loss of our celebrities and pop icons a Washington based organization known as the TVC (Traditional Values Coalition) is fighting almost a lone battle against the passage of a hate crimes bill"
Because what value is more traditional than hate? I mean, really.
Lloyd Marcus, Renew America: "Why is Outlaw Obama and his gang so committed and desperate to destroy Palin? Could it be they recognize her destiny, like Moses, to set her people free?"
Moses? By the way, Lloyd, maybe you never noticed this, but she pretty much destroyed herself, and John McCain too, by being an ignorant hatemonger. And don't forget, Moses never got to the promised land. And neither will we, if we let Sarah pick the direction.
Mark Steyn, National Review Online: "The real bubble is a consequence of big government. So big government more or less guarantees rule by creeps and misfits. It’s just a question of how well they disguise it."
This was about Mark Sanford, of course. So, Democrats are responsible for Republicans' inability to keep it in their pants. I know I have often talked about conservatives' inability to take responsibility for anything, but, come on, guys, isn't this a little too far even for you?
American Thinker: "Has literary detective Jack Cashill closed his case that Bill Ayers wrote Obama's first book?"
Come on. And I thought the birth certificate thing was crazy.
Saberpoint: "To Hell With It -- Let's Just Secede"
Bye.
And finally this gem, from a blog called Great Satan's Girlfriend: "Another round of sanctions and inspections won't work. It's time to talk to the North Koreans in the only language they understand."
Girlfriend, I know he is a miracle worker, but, sorry, Obama doesn't speak Korean.
