I'm Angry This Time

Sometimes, things just set me off. Anyone who reads my blog knows that happens about fifty times a day, but this one is special, for some reason.

What is it this time? It's an article at Renew America (where else) by a joker called A. J. DeCinto, pushing one of the right's favorite lying projections:

"Liberals and the big hate

Today before Congress and before the American people, General Petraeus is likely to become General Betray Us. — MoveOn.org

Pick the Target, Freeze it, Personalize it, Polarize it. — Saul Alinsky.

Supported by innumerable others like them, those quotes remind us of what our daily experience confirms: The sliming of opponents has always come naturally to liberals."

That's it? That's your smear? A bad joke about General Petraeus, and something said by a guy who died in 1972?

"Following are some particularly disgusting examples.

Yes, the worst terrorist attack in our history was perpetrated by a foreign conspiracy. But the second worst, the Oklahoma City bombing, was perpetrated by an all-American lunatic. Politicians and media organizations [read "conservatives and Fox News"] wind up such people at their, and our, peril. (Paul Krugman, "The Big Hate.")

How interesting Mr. Krugman doesn't denounce unrepentant former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers as "an all-American lunatic" while condemning the American left for "winding up such people."

And what, exactly, was incorrect in what Krugman said? Nothing? Oh well, then. And why didn't Krugman also bring up something that happened in the early 1970's, and resulted in no victim deaths? How dishonest of him.

By the way, this guy seems to have a thing about the seventies, doesn't he?

"Poor Frank Rich. He can't....recall Senator Abraham Ribicoff (D-CT) kicking off the liberal tradition of invoking "a mass-murderer like Hitler" to attack opponents when at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, he veered from his script to slime the Chicago police as follows:

If George McGovern were president, we wouldn't have these Gestapo tactics. "

Frank Rich can't remember a speech made in 1968. By a guy who retired from the Senate in 1981. Boy, that is evidence of a malicious plot.

Seeing any pattern emerging here?

Anyway, this is so dishonest. You can turn on Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck any day of the year and find worse stuff than this, and Mr. DeCinto knows it fully well. So, I am going to show you an example of real hate. I found this on a right wing site, and have hesitated to run it because it is so offensive, but I think it is time to compare what is happening on the right with the pathetic examples above. I warn you- this is very offensive. Of course, I will not identify where I found it, or link to it.

WARNING- THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH IS VERY OFFENSIVE- I MEAN THAT

"Talk about a typical nigger family! Just look at the family history of His Royal Booginess. Nothing but the same old coon crap we hear about on the evening news from all the ghetto niggers. The liberal media has of course, buried all this news deep so as not to degrade their precious Super Chimp. Because as we all know, liberals just HATE the truth. That nasty stuff always gums up the works of a perfectly good lie campaign. Obama is just yer typical Coonus Americanus and hell, he isn't even a genuine American coon! He's a Kenyan coon! And take a look at that kisser on his bro. Would you buy a car from a face like that? Or how would you like that monkey sniffing around your daughter? Gimme a damned break here. And our slap-happy liberals and dumb-assed yuppies actually voted for this baboon? Well they say you get what you pay for. Well, in this case I don't think we've even started to pay yet."

Well, that's hate. And I didn't have to go back to 1972 to find it. Sadly, if I had to, I could bring you a few hundred similar examples. And, A. J, they aren't liberals.
