Blowback- It's a Bitch

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi:

"Referring to the tight race between Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush in 2000 and other U.S. Presidential elections, Qashqavi said:

"No one in that race encouraged the American people to stage a riot or anything like that and it was actually the (U.S. Supreme Court) that solved the issue."

Can't argue with that logic, huh? Thanks a lot, Antonin Scalia. Your brilliant legal mind has become a beacon to the world. At least, the world of fundamentalist dictatorships.

Of course, Hassan, you are a little short on your U. S. history there. As I remember it, one of the candidates did encourage his supporters to stage a riot, and actually had them flown in from around the country to stop the voting in Miami. Check up on it. Maybe you can get some more ideas from the Republicans on how to hold a fair election.

If there were any credible claims that Bsush rigged the election, then we would know about it. Besides, Clinton was in office and I doubt he was pulling for Bush.

In Iran, more votes were cast than there were voters. Surprised?

But we do know about it.
