Wingnut Wrapup
It's funny how the death of Michael Jackson, a person that most of us really didn't care about, seems to have affected people. Everyone seems a little muted today, even the right wing loons. Here's the best of a very mediocre crop:
David Ridenour, Town Hall: "House Leadership Takes Suicidal Stand Against Its African-American Base"
Because there is no one better to give Democrats advice about how to woo African Americans, than some right wing Republican.
Burt Prelutzky, Town Hall: "Liberals never got tired of telling us how much George Bush was despised by those in other countries, although, for the record, I kept asking the loons to name those countries, but could never prompt a response.."
Oh, I don't know...How about this: "Poll of 35 Countries Finds 30 Prefer Kerry, 3 Bush"
Or this: "Europeans Dislike Bush's Foreign Policy, Poll Finds"
Or this: "Europeans don't like President Bush. That's the finding of a new poll, which finds wide margins of people in Germany, Great Britain, Italy and France disapprove of his attitudes and policies toward Europe.
Or this: "America can no longer count on the friendship even of its closest neighbors and allies after eight years of the Bush presidency. Only a minority in the countries surveyed describe relations with the US as friendly.
Or this: "World trusts Ahmadinejad more than Bush "to do the right thing regarding world affairs."
I must say, I particularly liked that one.
Or this: "A poll conducted recently throughout the Muslim and Arab world found that US President George Bush is the most hated public figure in the region...."
Or this: "Global poll slams Bush leadership....More than half of people surveyed in a BBC World Service poll say the re-election of US President George W Bush has made the world more dangerous."
You know what, Burt, you jackass, it took me about ten minutes online to find these sites. And believe me, at the rate I was going, I could have found several times more if I wanted to waste the space. As is usual with conservatives, you are nothing but an unapologetic liar.
Gateway Pundit: "Sanford Didn't Murder His Mistress & Leave Her to Drown In a Pond But State-Run Media Wants Him Gone Anyway"
I just want to point out that, once again, in their desperate struggle to find something that liberals did to compare to the almost daily boorish behavior of conservatives, they have had to go back to 1969. And then, they had to lie about it. No one ever suggested that the girl in the car was Teddy Kennedy's mistress, and no one said he "murdered" her. Of course, with the exception of the same right wing loons that claim Clinton murdered 56 people.
Gateway Pundit: "American Jews Abandon Israel in Favor of Dear Leader"
This is amusing, considering the perpetual right wing habit of accusing American Jews of having more loyalty to Israel than the U. S. By "amusing," of course, I mean "deeply disgusting."
Oh well, damned if you do, damned if you don't, huh? If you're Jewish, anyway.
Oliver North, Newsmax: "Obama's Apologizing for 9/11 'Unconscionable'
And it might have been unconscionable if he had actually done it, Ollie.
Chelsea Schilling, World Net Daily Exclusive: "Ark hunters and Bible enthusiasts are buzzing about a report that the Ark of the Covenant, the ancient container that holds the Ten Commandments, is expected to be unveiled in Rome today."
My advice, guys: Don't look when they open the lid.
World Net Daily: "'Great big energy tax' - $71,000 – coming for consumers"
Remember when it was only like $1700.00 or something? I guess that lie wasn't big enough to scare people, huh? Well, keep at it. Any day now, you'll be reporting that every person in the country will have to pay back the whole national debt all by themselves. Maybe that will scare 'em enough to vote you guys in again.
Josh Gerstein, World Net Daily: "Thus far, President Barack Obama has paid no public tribute to music legend Michael Jackson, who died Thursday."
And, considering that you guys spent a week slamming him for daring to go out for ice cream with his daughters, what would your reaction have been if he did take time to pay a public tribute to Michael Jackson?
Rich Lowry, National Review Online: "This makes it all the more remarkable that (Obama) often appears unable to understand how his health-care program threatens private insurance."
Unable to understand? Here's something that you are apparently unable to understand, Rich: To most of us, threats to insurance companies are a feature, not a bug.
John Bolton, National Review Online: "Obama's policy, and that of the United States, should be the overthrow of the Islamic revolution of 1979. The massive resistance to the June 12 elections is just another fact supporting that conclusion."
Yeah, John, except for the fact that the guy they are supporting is just as much a part of the Iranian government establishment as Ahmedinejad, and has been for decades. Now, try to tell us you didn't know that. As usual, conservative = liar.
Eric Cantor, National Review Online: "If Obama grasps the importance of taking the North Korean missile threat seriously, why would he reduce our financial commitment to a robust missile defense?"
I don't know, Eric, maybe because it doesn't work? Maybe that's a reason not to spend money on it?
