Wingnut Wrapup

Boy, they're out in force today. Oh well, at least they're blabbing and not shooting. Yet.

Jacob Sullum, Town Hall: "Unfaithful Friend of Liberty"

That would be the unfaithful Justice Stevens. His crime, according to Mr. Sullum:

"In many of the cases where Stevens has sided with the government, he has been opposed by Antonin Scalia and/or Clarence Thomas"

So, listen, jackass: anyone who is usually against Scalia and his lap dog is a hero. Except, of course, to people who actually like fascism.

Now, the current fave scandal on the right today- the fact that Obama went to his daughter's soccer match. Yes, you heard that right. That is his current betrayal of America. Here are a couple of samples:

Confederate Yankee: "President Obama Sunday seemed to shrug off the brouhaha after he broke with White House tradition and ditched his press pool earlier this weekend to watch one of his daughter’s soccer games. I suspect that Obama's muttered comment about not telling the Secret Service he was going to a game is...simply the latest lie by a man serially uncomfortable with telling the truth."

Astute Bloggers: "DID OBAMA HAVE A SECRET RENDEZVOUS AND IF SO THEN WITH WHOM AND WHERE - AND WHY?
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM..................SOMETHING HIS CLOSEST AIDES WOULD COVER UP BUT FEAR THE ADORING MEDIA WOULDN'T OR COULDN'T!? HMMM...SOMETHING THAT HAD TO BE EXTREMELY SECRET TO PROTECT NATIONAL SECURITY - BUT NOT AT THE CIA OR PENTAGON OR THE SITUATION ROOM - SO IT AD TO BE FACE TO FACE!?!?!? HMM...COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NATIONAL SECURITY THEN; IT HAD TO BE PERSONAL OR POLITICAL. OR BOTH. WAS IT... VERA BAKER? WAS SHE IN DC AT THE TIME? REV WRIGHT? WAS HE IN DC AT THE TIME? IF THE PRESS CORP WASN'T IN THE BAG FOR OBAMA, THEN THEY'D BE INVESTIGATING THIS."

OH GOD! OH GOD!!!! He went to his daughter's soccer match! It must be a commie plot!!!!!!! Now this:

Confederate Yankee" "Get That Man A Spine...How many times has this occurred now? Three? For someone who tries so hard to cultivate the image of a intellectual and sophisticate, he seems doggedly determined to cast himself as an unteachable buffoon, once again bowing to a foreign dignitary that is his equal."

Remember when it wasn't a scandal when a president spent $2 trillion on a war of aggression or caused a depression? But no, this picture is much worse.

Now, on to climategate. If you have been following this bogus pack of lies, you will know that the official British government investigation of the right wing allegations totally exonerated the scientists. Here's a sample of the right wing response to this:

Myron Ebell, Pajamas Media: "Climategate: The Official Whitewash Continues...The international panel charged with looking into the East Anglia email controversy has issued a report that fails the smell test at every level."

S. Fred Singer, American Thinker: "ClimateGate Whitewash...There is now a desperate effort afoot by assorted climate alarmists to explain away the revelations of the incriminating e-mails leaked last year from the University of East Anglia."

Astute Bloggers: "YAWN: British panel whitewashes Climategate...BBC: There was no scientific malpractice at the research unit at the centre of the "Climategate" affair, an independent panel has concluded."

And on:

Gateway Pundit: "Pence Laughs Out Loud on House Floor: Dems Want You to Believe They’re Cutting Taxes "

Because they are, for 95% of American taxpayers. Okay?

Newsmax: "Senator John McCain says the United States has been backing away from a brewing fight with Iran...Speaking figuratively, the Arizona Republican says the U.S. keeps pointing a loaded gun at Iran but failing to "pull the trigger."

Shut your God damned mouth already, you filthy hypocritical warmonger.

Tim Duncan, Renew America: "As a new parent — our first son was born just six months ago — I am finding that there are a lot of responsibilities that I never had before. One of these, even at his young age, is to begin teaching our little man right from wrong"

Boy, I bet you are having a lot of luck with that. Maybe you'd like to come over to my house and teach my Corgi to play canasta. Mr. Duncan (not the basketball player, I'm sure) continues:

"Then the question struck me — why it is that a six-month-old baby can exhibit the time-honored trait of self-reliance, whereas thousands of ostensible adults in New Orleans, Louisiana, apparently could not?"

Maybe because your baby wasn't hit with a category 5 hurricane, you dimwit.

Marsha West, Renew America: "American's tax dollars will pay for killing womb-babies under ObamaCare. If tax-payer funded infanticide is not part of Satan's diabolical plan, I don't know what is.

So I ask you, how will a godless government that controls business and industry, banking, and our healthcare system — as well as the minds of the masses — benefit future generations? What will our country look like in 50 years if We the People don't rise up and put a stop to the Obama administration's Marxist/socialist agenda?"

Oh, I don't know. Maybe a still thriving democracy, instead of a fascist failed state ruled by a bunch of ignorant, violent crackers?

World Net Daily: "A lawsuit has been filed in Washington accusing the White House Correspondents' Association of doing the bidding of the Obama administration in trying to belittle, exclude and irreparably harm a leading Internet news outlet, WorldNetDaily, which has carried commentary critical of the president."

Leading news outlet. Ha.

Astute Bloggers: "HUH!?: FBI DESTROYED FILES ON OBAMA'S GRANDFATHER!? YUP?! HE WAS A COMSYMP. THAT'S WHY HE TOOK HIS FAMILY TO SEATTLE AND HAWAII."

Oh my God, the corruption.! They are hiding the truth about Obama's grandfather. By the way, remember how much the press publicized the fact that George W. Bush's grandfather had his business seized in 1942, because he refused to stop financing Nazi Germany?

And, "comsymp?" How pathetic are you?

A comment at Andrew Breitbart's Big Government: "John Wilkes Booth = The Tea Party of 1865 "

And exactly what do you think this guy is suggesting by that? There's patriotism for you.
