Can the Church Make This Any Uglier?
"A furious transatlantic row has erupted over quotes that were attributed to a retired Italian bishop, which suggested that Jews were behind the current criticism of the Catholic church's record on tackling clerical sex abuse.
A website quoted Giacomo Babini, the emeritus bishop of Grosseto, as saying he believed a "Zionist attack" was behind the criticism, considering how "powerful and refined" the criticism is.
Allegedly speaking to the Catholic website Pontifex, Babini, 81, was quoted as saying: "They do not want the church, they are its natural enemies. Deep down, historically speaking, the Jews are God killers."
Well, that is certainly going to help us understand what is happening in the Catholic Church. It's the Jews making priests rape children. I guess we should have know that all along.
At least we can be confident that the Church is doing everything it can to find the responsible parties, so this never happens again. It is so refreshing to see the world's religious leaders dealing with their problems in such a forthright manner.

And as for the Jews, I guess it's just inevitable they would be in there somewhere. After all, even schoolyard bullies have to run it by the Rothschilds before they beat someone up.
