Boy, the wackos are thin on the ground today. I suspect they're already busy making signs and things for their big teabag day this Saturday. Here's the pretty predictable lunacy for today:

Cal Thomas, Town Hall: "President Obama immediately "meddles" in the affairs of Honduras, denouncing a military coup, the intent of which is to preserve the country's constitution....The fingerprints (or in this case the boot prints) of the Castro brothers, Venezuela's dictator Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua are all over this."

And the bootprints of every country in the United Nations, Cal, which passed a resolution without a single dissenting voice, to condemn the Honduran coup. You forgot to mention them. I wonder why?

Emmett Tyrell, Town Hall, "The Sen. Al Franken Blue Ball"

I don't get the blue ball thing. Maybe it has something to do with Teabagging. Face it, Emmett. He may be a clown, but he beat your guy. That's what it is to be a Republican these days.

Angry Little Pammy, Atlas Shrugs: "Day 20 Iran the Revolution: Time for an Israeli Strike"

Because nothing shows your patriotism and seriousness like insisting that some other country get itself in an unnecessary war. I think you are Jewish, Pammy. Why don't you go to Israel and volunteer for their army yourself?

Rick Moran, Pajamas Media: "The hyper-partisan, far-left liberal (That would be Al Franken- GE) may help the Republicans more than he assists his own party."

It always helps the Republicans, Rick, doesn't it? Right now, it's helping them into further irrelevance. Deal with that, sucker.

Gateway Pundit: "Iranian Regime Totally Making Up Crap Now..."

You mean like the WMD, and Saddam's ties to Al Qaida? Or more like how a military coup is democracy in action? Or maybe how we have the best medical care in the world right here in the good ol' U. S. of A? Or how cutting taxes raises government revenue? Or how Democrats are the only ones who waste money? Or how the economy is "fundamentally sound?" I hope I've made my point here. Otherwise, really, I could go on like this for a long time.

Newsmax: "Special Offer! Dick Morris' 'Catastrophe' for Just $9.95!"

Dick Morris's catastrophe? What happened, did he hiccup, and bite a prostitute's toe off?

John Stossel, Newsmax: "Competition Would Save Medicine, Too"

Just like it has already.

Lloyd Marcus: "Time to put liberals on the defensive!"

Lloyd, you guys are already doing that. Have you already forgotten Scott Roeder and James von Brunn?

World Net Daily: "A REVOLUTIONARY IDEA He's back! Guess who's coming to tea parties
Find out which popular patriot is helping take America back this Independence Day "

That would be the great American patriot, Joe the Plumber. Surprised? I guess that's all they've got these days in the way of patriots. At least we elected our clown. But wait, there's more:

World Net Daily: "Joe the Plumber nixes run for Congress at God's urging"
"You know, I talked to God about that, and he was like, ‘No,’”

He was like, 'No.' Now, the guy is getting direct advice from God? Well, if God really told him to keep out of politics, at least God is giving him good advice.

Really, just how much of this crap are we expected to put up with?

World Net Daily: "Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes headlines a list of people filing a suit in California, in a case handled by the United States Justice Foundation, that asks the secretary of state to refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office."

Alan, hate to break it to you, but you're a little late on that one.

Senator Jim DeMint: "Americans should support the Honduran people and their legitimate leaders in their brave and heroic stand for freedom and the rule of law"

That is, their brave and heroic military coup- something which always results in freedom. Yes sir, always.

And this is what we have to deal with in the Senate. God help us. By the way, listen, God, do you think you could spare a little of that good advice that you gave Joe the Plumber, for this guy? It would really be a service.
