Wingnut Wrapup, Day of Rest Edition

No rest for Green Eagle, poor thing. Here's what he found lining the bottom of his cage this morning:

Jillian Bandes, Town Hall: "Palin Will Keep Tweeting"

Okay, okay. As long as she quits squawking.

Debra J. Saunders, Town Hall: "Last weekend, the New York Times reported that after 9/11, the CIA developed a "secret counterterrorism program" to train hit squads to kill top al-Qaida leaders. It seemed like good news to me. After all, why bankroll an intelligence agency if you can't use it to kill an enemy against whom America has declared war? "

Oh, I don't know, Debra, maybe we bankroll an intelligence agency to, just an idea here, collect intelligence, not to engage in some sick macho murder spree. What do you think, Debra? Because maybe if they stuck to collecting intelligence, some day they'd get good at it.

Steve Chapman, Town Hall: "Millions of Americans tuned in last week to Sonia Sotomayor's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. What did they learn? "Nothing," Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe told The New York Times. Actually, we did learn something -- that we should stop inviting Supreme Court nominees to testify in confirmation hearings."

Yeah. I see your point. We can get all the information we need from firemen and plumbers and things. Why the hell should we waste the time of the American People with letting them actually see the nominee?

Steve, here's a better idea. How about if a certain political party stops using the nominating process as just one more opportunity to rile up their ignorant base by scoring cheap political points? How about trying that first?

Doug Giles, Town Hall: "One of the positive things that has come about by beholding this American socialistic meltdown has been the passive members of our party becoming more active....These conservatives have also bought more guns in the last four months than they ever had in the last forty years."

Boy, that kind of talk just makes me tingle. We gonna git them damn Yankees this time, yup!

Man, when the shooting starts, the crips and bloods are going to put a cap in your ass, you wanker.

Jackie Gingrich Cushman, Town Hall: "Welcome to Never Neverland"

I.e. Jackie, the world in which your pathetic jerk of a brother returns to political power.

Skandergerg, Red State: "China - Not a Nation, But an Empire"

An empire that, in four thousand years, never invaded another country with conquest in mind. Ignorance is so convenient, when you want to get paid for writing articles without knowing a God damned thing about what you are talking about.

Dan Spencer, Red State: "In today’s weekly Republican address, Senate Republican Whip Jon Kyl contrasts the Democrats rush and tax change with the Republicans common sense ideas"

Common sense, of course, consisting of doing nothing; and the Democrats' rush means doing anything before doomsday. Which, incidentally, may not be very far away, if you guys get to run things again.

Little Pammy Geller, Atlas Shrugs: "INCITEMENT TO HATE: Barack Obama's Speech at 100th anniversary of the NAACP"

Ha ha. Pammy, you are so cute when you snarl.

Hans A. Van Spakovsky, Pajamas Media: "The overwhelming power liberals wield silences many a conservative voice."

It does? Where is Green Eagle getting all of this crap from, day after day? I swear to you, he's not making it up.

"Conservatives do not have anywhere close to the resources liberal groups do"

No, of course not, Hans. Because rich people have so much less money than poor people. That's what "rich" means. No money. Everybody knows that!

Reverend J. Grant Swank Jr: "JESUS, WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY THOUGHTS JAM? "

Let us know, Reverend, if they ever unjam. I haven't seen it happen yet, but you never know.

Pat Boone, World Net Daily: "Truth will Out"

Not as long as you guys have your way, Pat. So, I wouldn't waste that much time worrying about it.

By the way, I've said it before, but Pat Boone? Really? Conservatives, that's what you've got?

Matt Patterson, American Thinker: "Walter Cronkite Has Blood on His Hands"

Just to remind you that he single-handedly caused us to get our butts kicked in Vietnam.

National Review Online: "Juan Williams is one of the best liberal commentators around"

That's why he spends so much time on Fox news.

Donald Douglas, American Power: "Nude Video of Erin Andrews! "

Really. Donald, you stick to covering this sort of thing. You've pretty well shown that you can't cover anything more intellectually complex. Maybe this will do it for you.
