Wingnut Wrapup

I have to say that a vast portion of conservative consciousness (such as it is) is devoted these days to seeing that the insurance companies' profits are not tampered with by evil Democrats that want people to have health care. This is so totally boring and disingenuous that I will not bother with much of it. Still, they have some time left for their usual maundering, as you can see below:

Dennis Prager, Town Hall: "The left does not perceive that poverty is the human norm "

Or, at least, Dennis, when Republicans are in charge.

Pat "Just call me Heinrich" Buchanan, Town Hall: "Consider. In 45 years, no Democratic president has put a single white Protestant or Catholic man or woman on the court.... What about the Republicans? Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford nominated seven to the court. All were white, all were male, all were Protestant...George W. Bush succeeded as no other Republican president since World War II. He had not only tilted the court to constitutionalism, but also replaced two white Protestants justices with two white Catholic justices..."

Blah blah blah....How dare those Democrats appoint someone who is not a white male? Pat goes on to make the point that the group really left out of the Supreme Court is Evangelical Christians.

Pat, maybe that's because they all graduated from Regent University "law school" and thus have as much place on the Supreme Court as a pack of feral donkeys.

A rare thing for Wingnut Wrapup- Kudos today to Red State for having the honesty to refer to the birth certificate crowd as "a bunch of jackass clowns." See, guys, it isn't so hard to tell the truth. Try it some more- you might get to like it.

David A. Patten, Newsmax: "Experts: Obama's 'Public Option' Insurance Will Abandon 100 Million Citizens"

Of course it will. The experts: "The D.C.-based Heritage Foundation sponsored the study. "

Oh, okay then.

Newsmax: "Palin Waves Off Prez Talk, Hints at Bigger Role"

Bigger role than President? What, God? And you guys think this is a good thing.

Newsmax: "Jindal Attacks Obama's Healthcare, Stimulus"

Pardon my bluntness here, but does anyone give a flying fuck what this pathetic jerk has to say?

Phil Brennan, Newsmax: "Obama’s Health Plan Akin to Civil War"

Right. So, since you guys were for the civil war, that's a good thing, right? And don't forget that, according to Phil,

"it is essential that the handful of Republicans in the House and Senate understand that in a civil war all the rules of civilized discourse and legislative courtesy must be suspended"

I guess you can be proud of the fact that you already have a thirty year head start on that one. How prudent you were.

Pat Boone, Newsmax: "Truth Will Find Obama"

Not with your help, buddy.

"Reverend" Grant Swank, Renew America: "For years these liberal churches said that all souls were on their way to heaven, that Jesus was not important, that a real-life conversion was fanaticism."

Reverend, Jesus believed in telling the truth. Think about that, before you bring up the subject of who really thinks Jesus was not important.

Cynthia A. Janak, Renew America: "According to God's law my body is the temple of God and to vaccinate and put chemicals that are known to be toxic into this body would be defiling the temple of God. It is because of this I will not receive any vaccinations for the rest of my life because I will be going against the rule of God."

Whatever. Cynthia, your body may be a temple, but your mind is a sewer.

L. E. Ikenga, American Thinker: "For the life of me, I can't figure out why Africans are so head over heels for Obama"

No, that's a really tough one to figure out. By the way, what's your real name, Billy Bob "Bubba" Dirtwad?
I really don't believe that anyone named "L. E. Ikenga" would have that much trouble with the idea of Africans being happy to have an African man as U. S. President.

And Finally, this dire announcement from our old friend, Henry Makow, Ph.D: "Bohemian Grove: Illuminati Meet This Week for Satanic Rituals "

Keep away from there- the admission is really expensive.

Excuse me, but Democrats were in charge before, and during, this recession.

"Blah blah blah....How dare those Democrats appoint someone who is not a white male? Pat goes on to make the point that the group really left out of the Supreme Court is Evangelical Christians."

Funny, when a republican uses the same screwed up logic that you and other democrats use to justify their actions, you call him a racist or idiot. When a democrat does it, you call him/her compassionate, awesome, amazing, and messiah.

"Pardon my bluntness here, but does anyone give a flying fuck what this pathetic jerk has to say?"

Makes more sense than Obama or Gibbsy. Oh, and RACIST.

"I really don't believe that anyone named "L. E. Ikenga" would have that much trouble with the idea of Africans being happy to have an African man as U. S. President."

So if McCain had been elected, I should have been happy that my President was white because I am white? Just turn the table and you will realize how moronic your statements are.
