Little Pammy Strikes Again

Little Pammy, over at her blog, Atlas Shrugs, is at it again. Here's something she quotes, in pursuit of the great wingnut goal of proving that Barack Obama is Adolf Hitler. As usual, with a few helpful comments:

"I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing."

They knew next to nothing by the mid-1930's, when Hitler had been in power for a couple of years, and practically all of his programs, detailed long before in Mein Kampf, were in full force?

"What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises."

Just like Obama, who shouted and shoved and pushed around people. Oh yes, I can see the analogy so clearly. By the way, Pammy, Hitler became Reich Chancellor on January 30, 1933. Within three months, the Nazis had banned all other political parties, and were already arresting their leaders. They were also sending SA squads to break up municipal governments and force their elected leaders to resign. Just like Obama, huh?

"Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot."

Oh yes, I remember that wave. The one where he stuck his arm straight out. Yes sir, just like Obama.

"And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully them into submission."

Just like now, Pammy, when you are so afraid to speak out. I've got to admit one thing, though. You are apparently afraid to speak out the truth, seeing as how you never dare to do that.

"And then he was duly elected to office,"

False, and you know it perfectly well. Hitler was appointed Reich Chancellor as a result of his skillful manipulation of the then-senile Hindenberg and Ludendorff. Nazi performance in German elections peaked in 1930, and by 1933 had fallen below 40% and was continuing to decline.

"with a full-throttled economic crisis at hand [the Great Depression]. Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power,"

"Slowly but surely," if by that you mean "within six months." By that time he had violently eliminated all opposition and had forcibly instituted most of the elements of the Nazi program. Just like Obama, right?

"department by department, person by person, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name , where they were taught what to think."

Just like today, when Obama is forcing kids to join the Obama Jugund, right, Pammy?

Listen, if we really do weave a tangled web by lying, you have spun enough silk to reach to the moon. I wonder if you ever think about whether it is really a good idea to be this maliciously dishonest.
