Wingnut Wrapup
Before I dive in, let me mention what the right doesn't want to talk very much about today- the Hutaree terrorist cell. Most of them just ignored it, and the couple of sites that did post on it pretty much rejected any connection between themselves and these guys. What else could you expect?
There was one major exception: Confederate Yankee, who has often made it into Wingnut Wrapup for his belligerent commentary has been very forthright about these people and the danger that groups like this pose, and I want to thank him for his honesty.
Now, on with the lunacy:
Laura Hollis, Town Hall: " More “Hateful” Propaganda from the Left"
As usual, this can be roughly translated as "they dared to tell the truth about us."
Allen Hunt, Town Hall: "For the past few years, Pew surveys have shown that 12% of Americans believed Obama was a Muslim. For some reason, according to a recent Harris poll, that number has now skyrocketed to about 33% of Americans. What is driving this obsession with misidentifying our president's faith life?"
What is driving this obsession? YOU and people like you who keep lying about Obama, that's what. What do you think is causing it, idiot? Here's more perverted logic from this guy:
"Perhaps the persistence of the rumor, and its recent expansion in numbers of adherents, has something to do with the divisive first year of Obama's administration. Many Americans simply do not like President Obama at all. The reasons are many. Labeling Obama a Muslim feels viscerally good to many a voter. After all, many in the Muslim world would seek to destroy America."
The "persistence of the rumor" has everything to do with the fact that your fellow Republicans keep telling this lie over and over again. Period. That's the whole story, and the story of Obama the communist, Obama the socialist, Obama the racist and every other smear you spread. It's like Jeffrey Dahmer wondering why human body parts keep appearing in his refrigerator. Stop making it happen, and it will stop happening.
Mike Adams, Town Hall: "I would not likely enjoy spending time in prison. But I simply cannot imagine paying federal taxes that could be used to fund abortion. I just cannot resign myself to complicity in the murder of the unborn. I can more easily see myself going to trial and throwing myself on the mercy of a jury of my peers."
Fine, Mike. It's your choice. Then you can spread your antitax rhetoric while the government spends $100,000 or so per year to support you.
Don't forget though, there is a big downside- the Federal Prison system isn't likely to supply you with as many Cheetos as your mother.
Washington Times Editorial: "Dems play the terror card...Democrats last week began a well-orchestrated campaign to change the subject from Obamacare by declaring Republicans the newest terrorist threat."
Because naturally, there is nothing Dems would rather do than change the subject from their biggest victory in forty years. That makes sense.
Henry Lamb, Renew America: "People who believe that health care is a right instead of a privilege embrace a fundamental principle of Marxism."
I guess that makes Winston Churchill, who believed universal health care was a human right, a communist.
Joan Swirsky, Renew America: "Obama birth certificate issue more urgent than ever"
Because our other smears didn't work, and we're getting the crap beat out of us. And it's been months now since we've been able to think of a good new lie.
I thought you might like to see a picture of Joan, who has the finest girl-mullet I have ever seen.
The Babe in the Bunker, World Net Daily: "With the election of Barack Obama and his gang of political henchmen in the White House, aided and abetted by the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and their acolytes in Congress, it is difficult, if not impossible at this point, for anyone who disagrees with their socialist/Marxist philosophy to even have their voices heard. "
Does that include you, oh Babe in the Bunker? Because it seems to me that you are having no trouble getting your voice heard. No matter how stupid and contentious what you have to say is.
Jerome Corsi, Renew America: "Will nuclear batteries power our cars?"
Imagine that. Have a car crash, and nobody can drive on that road for 10,000 years.
Robert M. Engstrom, Human Events: "Palin Declares 'Harry, You're Fired' at Tea Party in Nevada"
Sarah, don't gloat, just because nobody can fire you. That's only because you quit.
Astute Bloggers: "A black man happens to be at the helm of the ship of state, hellbent on turning the land of the free and the home of the brave into a Euro-style progressivist utopian nightmare, but what does that have to do with slavery? "
Well, look at it this way...No, on second thought, forget it. You'll never figure it out.
Michael Zak, Big Government: "In 1935, Sinclair Lewis wrote a novel that envisioned a political tragedy akin to the Obama administration"
What, you mean a right wing takeover of the United States? You see, you liar, I have actually read that book, and that's what it is about. So here we go, just one more dirty wingnut con man let out of his cage to annoy us.
Rebecca Hagelin, Town Hall: "Hannity carefully documents how the Obama administration and the radical left agenda are quickly destroying our children’s future."
By keeping them healthy. Boy, that will destroy them, alright. Of course, Bush and Cheney giving all their money to rich people was just fine for their future.
Helen Smith, Pajamas Media: "How Should Conservatives Deal with the Left's Disrespect and Lack of Empathy?"
How about not acting like a bunch of whining, lying babies?
Frank Fleming, Pajamas Media: "It is often said about terrorism: “They only have to win once; we have to win every time.”...It’s a lot like that with liberals...So are liberals just like terrorists? Now, most people, when asked that question, would immediately answer, “Why, yes, of course.”
Sure they would, Frank. Clinton, JFK, Roosevelt- all terrorists. God, it is beyond my comprehension how people can write things like this without vomiting on their keyboards.
Bryan Fischer, Renew America: "Nothing "Christian" about the Christian militia groups"
You wish, bucko. Your lies created them, and now you own them. An this time around, there are a lot of us that are not going to just sit there and let people forget that.
Dan Riehl, Riehl World View: "It's Official, Obama's A Disgrace: Labels Tea Parties A Birther Movement. Frankly, I don't care where this punk was born. He's unworthy of the office he holds."
What, because he told the truth? That's why he is now officially a disgrace and a punk? Well, screw you, Dan. Look in the mirror the next time you want to see a disgrace and a punk.
Dan Riehl, Riehl World View: "Compassionate Progressives Mock Death Of Sean Hannity's Dog"
Actually, there isn't a single thing in his article to support this claim. What someone did say is that Hannity seemed more concerned about the death of a dog than he did about the deaths of people without medical care. But this is what wingnuts are reduced to- The biggest crime progressives have committed is to mock the death of a dog. And it isn't even true. Boy, the right wing muck barrel is empty these days.
There was one major exception: Confederate Yankee, who has often made it into Wingnut Wrapup for his belligerent commentary has been very forthright about these people and the danger that groups like this pose, and I want to thank him for his honesty.
