It's a Dream Come True. A Bad Dream

Hallelujah! It's happened! Green Eagle can now announce that one of his most fervent wishes came to pass today!

From (and what could be a better source for a story like this) the Orange County Register:

‘Birther’ lawyer Taitz running for secretary of state
Laguna Niguel lawyer Orly Taitz, who’s gained a national following for efforts to prove Barack Obama’s presidency is illegitimate, has qualified to run for California secretary of state, said Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley.

In launching her campaign to be the state’s top elections official, Taitz is alleging that fellow Republican candidate Damon Dunn, a former NFL player living in Irvine, is ineligible to seek the GOP nomination. She says he’s committed voter and election fraud."

Whoopee! And she's off to a good start, hurling the same kind of invective at her Republican primary opponent (whose odds of beating her are estimated by the crack Green Eagle statistical department at approximately 10,002 to 1) that she has become so famous for.

I wonder what country he was born in, Zimbabwe, or maybe Nazi Germany?

This is going to be a treat, guys.

In my opinion this is what the small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. They are good at “Follow the Leader” of their dullard leaders, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think? The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. Although most republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe they have a long way to go. And as they said in WACO “We Ain’t Coming Out”.

Of course, I agree with you, except maybe when you say, "most republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe..."

I hope you are right about this and I am wrong, but I don't see any signs that they are done yet with their love affair with insanity. I'm afraid the worst is still to come.
