Wingnut Wrapup

The jerks are sort of on holiday, I guess. It's taken days to come up with these few scraps, but let's get it over with:

Lori Zaganto, Red State: "America is teetering towards tyranny,” Republican Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina told the Conservative Political Action Conference last month. He accused the governing Democrats of peddling socialist policies “that have been the enemy of freedom for centuries all over the world.” Wow...DeMint’s statement isn’t “inflammatory”; it’s accurate."

No, my dear, it's a bunch of big fat lies, as usual. To wit:
1. The Democrats are not "peddling socialist policies." That is just a cheap, ludicrous smear.
2. Health care for everyone has not been "the enemy of freedom for centuries all over the world." To say so is just to reveal yourself to be an infantile liar and stupid to boot.
3. DeMint's statement is both intended to be, and in fact inflammatory.
4. Furthermore it is not accurate; it is a malicious falsehood.

There. Four lies in three sentences. I wish I could say that this is some sort of record, but sadly it's just about average for conservatives.

J. Robert Smith, Pajamas Media: "Why Obama, Pelosi, and Reid Won't Quit Pushing Health Care Reform...If they can impose government-run health care, they’ll establish the framework for Democratic dominance for years to come"

Well, here's some truth, at last. If the Democrats can really succeed in getting the American people out of the sick nightmare that is our privately insured health care system, they will have added so significantly to their previous accomplishments (e.g. social security, the minimum wage, deposit insurance, civil rights laws, winning the first and second World Wars, ending the Republican Great Depression, ending the Republican 2008 economic crash) that it may be that they will dominate for years to come.

That could have been you, Republicans- all you had to do was not spend the last eighty years being thieving criminals. Sorry, too late.

Bryan Fisher, Renew America: "Legislating morality just fine -- as long as it's liberal morality"

Deal with it sucker: There is no such thing as conservative morality. "Everything for me and to hell with you" is not really a particularly moral position.

Astute Bloggers: "Adam Gadahn, the treasonous Californian Al Qaeda leader who has long been on Washington's Most Wanted list, was nabbed in Pakistan Sunday - a huge victory... ALL CREDIT IS DUE PETRAEUS AND THE TROOPS – AND THEN BUSH. NONE TO OBAMA."

Yeah, of course Bush gets the credit. You stupid jackass. And by the way, you started your crowing a little early. It now seems that it wasn't Adam Gadahn at all. So maybe Bush does deserve the "credit," just like he deserves the credit for all those other Al Qaeda leaders he supposedly caught over the last six years, who disappeared in smoke as soon as the press coverage ended.

Star Parker, Town Hall: "Time to Stop Lying to Ourselves"

What? You are finally going to admit that your policies have ruined the nation's economy? No, of course not. How could I be so foolish. According to Star, we need to stop lying to ourselves and admit that Obama and the Dems are responsible for everything bad that ever happened.

Confederate Yankee: "Unemployment should be a safety net, not a plush feather bed or even a futon.
It's a simple concept: If you don't work because you won't work, you don't eat.
It's so simple, even a liberal can grasp it."

Yankee, there are currently five job seekers for every job. Even an ignorant dumbass like yourself should be able to grasp that. Maybe if guys like you had not cheered corporations on while they exported all our jobs to China, we wouldn't have to pay out this money. Think about it.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Vladimir Lenin: “Socialized Medicine is the Keystone to the Arch of the Socialist State.”

Oy. Despite hundreds of links crediting this quote to either Lenin or Marx, there is no evidence that either one ever said any such thing. Actually, I think Jim just said this to give him a chance to post the following tasteful graphic:

Oh, just like each other, huh? Some of you may remember this wingnut graphic from a year or so ago:

Boy, they really hate that poster. I guess the guy is both Hitler and Lenin- or at least he uses the same ad agency.

Too bad Obama din't have his head turned the other way, or Jim could have also used that same monkey picture in the Michelle smear from a couple of days ago. I guess he should be flattered by this- at least they are comparing him to a white man.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "2 Students Face Felony Hate Crime Charges For Speading Cotton Balls On Campus Lawn"

And here are the "students." Why do I doubt that either one of these guys is going to end up with a Fulbright scholarship? I don't know what the truth of this story is, but they are sure as hell guilty of something disgusting.

National Review Online: "Obama's Speech Sinks Health-Care Stocks"

Hooray! Health care reform is working already!

And now, a contribution from a new loon here, some jackass named Wes Penre. This is just a teaser- he's got lots more, including how he didn't make it as a popular musician because he wouldn't become a slave of the Illuminati:

"Susan has read quite a bit from my website and according to her the alien thing is not true. She says the alien abduction stories are widespread. They are a crass cover up created by the Nazi geneticists used to cover their crimes and divert attention away from their projects, i.e. corrupting the human genome with chimerical reptilian and predatory mammalian DNA"

Aha. Let's see what we have learned in the last couple of days: Flying saucers are actually caused by demons, and Nazi geneticists active today are corrupting us with reptilian DNA. And we thought universal health care was the worst thing that could be happening.

Those two guys who did the cotton ball thing look to me like the outcome of an experiment (possibly botched) along these lines.

I think you are on to something there, Infidel. I suspect that the Republicans, realizing that they are a dying party, have started to breed their own human-animal hybrids, so they can still have a base.
