Wingnut Wrapup
I was going to post a bunch of right wing screaming about the firing of General McChrystal, but it was all such predictable junk that I can't bear to deal with it. Any one of you could guess what lies they had to tell. Anyway, this one issue hasn't stopped them from lying about everything else on the planet, so let's take a look:
Mona Charen, Town Hall: "The Trouble with World Opinion"
The trouble with world opinion is that they still like Obama. Maybe some rich people need to pay for tea parties everywhere else. In the course of her maundering, Mona had this sage observation to make:
"Jefferson had never attended a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council."
Thanks for letting us know that, Mona. Left to our own devices we would have never figured out that Thomas Jefferson, who died over a hundred years before the UN was founded, never attended any of its meetings.
Mary Catherine "radicallyright" Sibley, Red State: "Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court is guilty of murder in the first degree. Unfortunately, even though the evidence would demonstrate she is a cold blooded, calculated killer, outside of her position on abortion, she has never been charged. Now, the evidence is coming to light."
It is? Did someone find the blood-stained knife? Or did she use a gun? Sadly, we will never know from reading Ms. radicallyright's article, as she doesn't bother to tell us.
Confederate Yankee, on Gen. McChrystal's criticism of the Obama administration: "Perhaps McChrystal has simply had it with a bunch of incompetents above him and wants to go out on his own terms, telling it like it is. "
Too bad he didn't think of doing that when the real incompetents got us into this mess.
Oleg Atbatshian, Pajamas Media: "News of Rahm-Obama Split Identical to Trotsky-Stalin Reports"
Sure, sure, Oleg. Obama=Stalin. We've already heard all about that. About a thousand times now.
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "It Begins… Mexican Drug Cartel Openly Threatens Arizona Police Force"
What begins? Your latest acid trip?
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Bork Says He Will Oppose Kagan"
Who gives a damn?
J. R. Dieckman, Renew America: "Oilgate could spell the end of Obama"
Oilgate. Because the BP oil rig exploded because of scandalous behavior on the part of Obama, I guess. Man, is that guy powerful.
WHISTLEBLOWER CLASSIC WorldNetDaily Exclusive: "Lust-filled women on sex rampage with your kid"
The lucky bastard.
Clarice Feldman, Pajamas Media: "Judge Was Right to Lift Obama's Deepwater Drilling Moratorium"
Drilling without safeguards? How could it hurt?
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Why Is the State-Run Media Hiding This Photo From You?"
Oh, I don't know. Maybe because it is an infantile piece of garbage? Or maybe because they don't want you to know that Obama actually is Hitler, as you can clearly see from the unretouched photograph shown here.
Roger Kimball, Pajamas Media: "Around the time of my visit, the Navy had just announced the advent of its latest Seawolf nuclear submarine, the USS Jimmy Carter. I found the conjunction of the words “nuclear submarine” and the name “Jimmy Carter” hilariously absurd."
Really, maybe you've forgotten that Jimmy Carter served more years in the military than any President in the last hundred years, except for Eisenhower, and that he spent much of that time serving on a nuclear submarine. Now, can you explain to me what the World War II draft dodger Ronald Reagan did to get his name on an aircraft carrier?
Gianni DeVincent Hayes Renew America: "The Great Usurper has been in office a year...He entered the senate by manipulation..."
Democrats getting the most votes = manipulative usurpers. I see. Just can't get over the Negro thing, can you, Gianni?
Armand C. Hale, Renew America: "Your efforts helped secure yet another victory for the tea party movement as Conservative Republican, Mike Lee, won the GOP Primary for U.S. Senate in Utah!"
A Conservative won in Utah! What an amazing turn of events for Republicans! Why, the next thing you know, Conservatives are going to be winning in Alabama.
WorldNetDaily Exclusive: 'Doctors can't afford to see Medicare patients'
Too bad they neglected to point out which party voted unanimously against legislation to fix this problem. Just an accidental oversight, I'm sure.
Jack Lott, American Thinker: "The myth that Afghanistan is our longest war...The longest open conflicts involving the United States were the 19th century Indian wars during the westward expansion of the country."
Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I feel so much better about things now.
Astute Bloggers: "Assad to start Latin American tour...We can stop this infiltration this November: vote GOP!"
And what then? Are you going to shoot down his plane? And finally, we turn to Renew America, for the question which is on everyone's lips these days:
Marsha West, Renew America: "Carl Jung: psychologist or sorcerer?"
Well, I vote for "psychologist." I don't really think there are any sorcerers around any more. But who knows, I could be wrong.
