Wingnut Wrapup- Psycho Killer Edition

Here's a small (and I mean very small) sample of the ugliness that's swirling around the toilet bowl that is the right wing in our country today.  I couldn't take any more:

Cal Thomas, Town Hall:  "Even if Jared Loughner had watched and listened to conservative media, what does that prove? Millions do, but they don't go on a shooting rampage."

Maybe millions will go on a shooting rampage next year, Cal.  After all, that's what you guys want, isn't it, a new American revolution, with plenty of guns and all.  Keep hopin' for it and maybe it will happen, sort of like Tinkerbelle coming back to life.  Tinkerbelle with a Glock.

Armstrong Williams, Town Hall:  "Why A Voracious Appetite for Blame?"

I don't really know, Armstrong- you mean like this?

Streiff, Red State:  "...the daily scurrilous calls for violence by websites like DailyKos and by the now happily defunct Air America were part and parcel of what passes for speech on the left. That nothing happened is due more to the lack of manliness and ambition on the part of the left than any reticence to actually engage in violent acts."

I see.  We'd act just like you if we weren't all gay.  Well, that sure explains why the psycho assassins in America are all on your side. And here I thought it was just because you are a bunch of evil, self absorbed, greedy, racist pricks.  Thanks for straightening me out.

Lori Zagato, Red State:  "Thoughtful, On-Target Palin Responds To Attacks; Left Loses Last Grip On Reality"

Thoughtful Palin. Fat chance. The only thing Sarah Palin gives a thought to is how to squeeze more money out of her notoriety.  And "On target."  I wonder what led Lori to pick that metaphor.

And now a rare four way hat trick from the male Pam Geller, Jim Hoft:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Far Left Goes On a Sarah Palin Death Wish Frenzy"

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Oops!… It Looks Like Obama Fibbed About Giffords “Opening Her Eyes for the First Time”

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED… Death Threats Against Sarah Palin at Unprecendented Level"

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "They Couldn’t Help It… Team Obama Hands Out T-Shirts at Pep Rally Memorial"

Boy, someone is cranky today.  Take it easy, Jim.  You're going to have a stroke there.

Bryan Fischer, Renew America:  "Tucson: Second Amendment the solution, not the problem...The problem was not that there were too many guns in the parking lot of that Safeway but that there were too few...If somebody besides this lunatic had been packing that morning, everybody might be alive today."

Here's a little reported story about the Tucson shooting.  A pistol packin' right winger heard the shooting in the parking lot and ran out with his gun cocked and loaded.  He saw someone standing over the victims with a pistol in his hand, and came within two seconds of shooting him before people got him to understand that the guy had taken the gun away from Loughner, and prevented further violence.  That's the reality of allowing idiots to walk around with guns, not Bryan's infantile fantasy of some private citizen who thinks he's Dirty Harry making everyone's day.

Jerome Corsi, World Net Daily:  "Is 'shadow group' stalking Giffords?  Radical Marxists from Spain mimic Loughner's identity...The conclusion appears to be that a person or group operating under the username "Pimiento666" has subscribed to Giffords' YouTube website...Is 'Pimiento666' Loughner's mind controller?"

Oh, probably.  I'm sure that Spanish Marxists were responsible for shooting a Democratic Congresswoman, by controlling the mind of her assassin.  That makes a lot more sense than it being a crazy person who took Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin seriously.

Doug Lucas, American Thinker:  "Was that a memorial service a or a pep rally?   Well, the cult members were out in full force tonight in Arizona. I was ashamed and disgusted by the spectacle that was called a memorial service.  President Obama read the teleprompter with eloquence and did a fine chin in the air impersonation of Che Guevara, as usual...This was more like an Arsenio Hall show than a memorial service. The audience...should all be ashamed of themselves."

Doug, you go right on being ashamed and disgusted by common human decency.  It's so appropriate for a Republican.  And catch the Arsenio thing.  What do you think that was supposed to mean, huh?  Oh no, right wingers aren't racist, oh, no!

Dan Riehl:  "Leadership: Sarah Palin's rousing invocation to a grieving nation "

"Rousing invocation" in this case being a Jew baiting orgy of self pity.

And finally, someone on a right wing website with something absolutely true to say:

Debra J. Saunders, Town Hall:  "This is a free country. If Sarah Palin wants to run for president in 2012, she is free to try. But she will not win the GOP nomination because Republican voters are not going to choose a middle-aged version of Britney Spears"

Well, it has been so interesting to see the desperation on the part of Conservatives to pin the blame for this terrorist attack on anyone but themselves.  Methinks the lady doth protest too much, huh?

You should watch the video over at my blog. It's a teabagger that lost in Nov to San Diego's Bob Filner. They actually swarmed Filner and his campaign staff, at election central, and verbally as well as physically attacked them. It's scary shit.

Oh, and the Corporate Media in San Diego...never said squat about it. Not one writeup.

I saw that video- it was on the Colbert Report, I think last night.

That's where we are going in this country, if the Democrats don't find a way to stand up to it.

Personally, my wife and I have started looking for a house in Umbria. I'm that worried about this sort of thing.

I live in the Kern County, the reddest part of Cali. I have had death threats just posting about our District Attorney and all the cases he has had overturned by the State Supreme Court.

I feel your pain, Dusty. I was supposed to go to Inyokern last fall to work on a Roland Emmerich movie, but luckily for me, it fell apart before we left town, and I avoided the experience.

That's why we were going to shoot there.
