The Wingnuts Strike Back

You just knew the recent act of right wing terrorism was going to unleash a torrent of piggish reaction from the wingnuts, didn't you?  I'm going to leave out most of the ten thousand or so comments demanding that nobody dare make any kind of remark connecting the right's murderous rhetoric with its inevitable result.  Let's just look at their frantic efforts to blame this on the left.  This is the sort of Wingnut Wrapup I hate having to write, but someone has to keep an eyes on these maniacs:

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "AZ SHOOTER: JAROD LOUGHNER – He Burns US Flag in YouTube Video   He is definitely NOT a tea partier…."

Oh, of course not, Jim.  I guess that's proof. The meaningless, empty, jingoistic symbolism of Tea partiers is infinite- I mean they are the perfect patriots.

Erick Erickson, Red State:  "Unfortunately, the left is using this tragedy to score political points...But let’s not let the left, yet again, spin this against the tea party movement, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or Sarah Palin inciting violence. That’s both a profound lie and just another, though lesser, bit of evil."

Well, not a profound lie, exactly.  It's profound truth, Erick.

The Anchoress:  "It is appalling to note that some on the social media circuits are already letting the conspiracy theories fly according to their agendas – some on the left are already tweeting about Sarah Palin and gun imagery"

I mean, what does that have to do with anything?

World Net Daily EXCLUSIVE:  "ATTACK IN ARIZONA...Assassin's politics lean 'left wing, quite liberal'...'Communist Manifesto,' 'Mein Kampf,' listed as alleged gunman's favorite reads"

And as long as you are willing to buy into the current favorite teabag lie that Adolf Hitler was a liberal, it all makes perfect sense that this guy was too, right?

Because if you're an anti-Semite, you must be on the left, right?  I guess they proved that as soon as they discovered that Hitler was a leftist.

Warner Todd Huston, Right Wing News:  "Murderous Attacker of Judge and Congresswoman, Anarchist, Communist..."

A Communist, I guess, because he liked the Communist Manifesto.  What does it mean that he liked Mein Kampf, huh?  Oh yeah, that makes him a Communist too.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Flag-Burning, Anti-Religious, Marx Supporter Kills Bush-Appointed Judge… The Left Blames Tea Party & Sarah Palin"

Blah blah blah.  It never stops.  There isn't a second of self-awareness on the part of these people.

World Net Daily:  "Media covering up alleged shooter's liberal politics?"

Sure, sure...they are probably covering up the fact that he was born in Kenya too.  I mean, who else would kill a Democratic congresswoman than a Democrat?  It happens all the time.

American Thinker:  "Before anyone had publicly identified the shooter of Arizona Congreswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the wire services were busily and shamelessly trying to establish a link between the violence and the Tea Party movement."

God, they did their job for once?  The job they have been evading for two and a half years? Man, that is shameless.

Erick Erickson, Red State:  “The tea party movement won in November. Winners don’t go on shooting sprees.”

Tell that to Hitler after the Anschluss.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Did Barack Obama Cause the Shootings Yesterday in Tucson?  If the media really wants to improve the “caustic political climate” they may want to start at the White House."

Well, there you go.  You know you were waiting for it.  It was all Barack Obama's fault.  It's his fault that right wing maniacs are trying to kill his supporters.  Because it couldn't be the other side's fault, right?

Bryan Fischer, Renew America:  "This conservative calls for the execution of the shooter of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords"

Preferably before he opens up his big mouth and lets people know why he did it.

And of course how could we not expect everyone to be topped by Pam "Shrieking Harpy" Geller:

"This slaughterer was a liberal. This is what they teach, this is the poisonous fruit of their indoctrination. Clearly, Loughner is sick, mentally ill -- but suckling at the lefty teat is deadly poison for the soul."

Pam had this to say, in her very next post:  "Arizona Shooter: Leftist Machine Spins like a Top on Steroids"

Well, there you go.  I could go on all day with this stuff.  There is just no end to the shamelessness of the right.

Laughner's posts on YouTube show he was having a mental break. That alone should eliminate the blame attached to free speech.

Rather than solve the true cause both political sides attempt to blame each other.

There is a simple explanation for it. Evidence exists in the Virginia Tech, Jokela Finland school, Redlake school, and Atlanta Day Trader shootings that Subliminal Distraction exposure precipitated the event.

Subliminal Distraction, a normal feature in our physiology, was found to cause mental breaks for office workers forty years ago. The cubicle was designed to deal with it by 1968.

Today home computer users can create the "special circumstances" for it. Shootings seem to be sociopath meets Subliminal Distraction.

VisionAndPsychosis.Net is an eight year investigation of it.

There is not direct evidence in the Arizona case yet. The fact that he had a home computer and made bizarre psychotic posts is not enough.

The Tucson Tea Party Massacre.

Sarah Palin and the Tea Party are responsible for this atrocity and they fuckin’ well know it. It is why they have sounded all the alarms. Everyone, Faux News, Republican Senators, The Right Wing Blogosphere are out in force parsing words, playing false equivalency, equivocating and attacking.

They are worried the constant conservative call to violence, eliminationist rhetoric, and Terrorism are going to harm their political aspirations.

Don't Retreat, - Reload and place this directly were it belongs on the Conservatives who have spent years whipping up a frenzy of violence which is bursting up and claiming the lives of Americans.

Conservatism is Terrorism.

L K Tucker,

Your observations about Loughner are interesting, but I reiterate my position that this incident is not about Loughner. Of course he is mentally unstable. A person would have to be to do something like this. The issue is how he was driven to engage in this particular act. And that leads us to a bunch of people who are not mentally ill, but are seriously morally corrupted. They are the ones I am interested in, not Loughner. I want to repeat my remark about Loughner reminding me of Michael Vick's dog. We blame Vick, not the dog for its violence.

And, by the way, if you read my post above about Loughner, you will see that his bizarre language was not a sign of his own mental disarray, but rather fit into a particular narrow form of right wing behavior.

And Gene,

"They are worried the constant conservative call to violence, eliminationist rhetoric, and Terrorism are going to harm their political aspirations."

You bet they are. This one guy has already brought the great Republican House of Representatives steamroller to a sudden stop, and now, for months they are going to watch every sick, dog-whistle remark they make. And it has made the ice under Sarah Palin's feet seem mighty thin. Boehner, et. al. must be cursing this guy for letting the mask slip on their whole act.

My interest is not the two political camps but how Laughner got that way.

Much of the strange connections proposed and the over the top rhetoric you see on the Internet and in the media is typical of people who have Subliminal Distraction exposure.

Anyone who has competent peripheral vision and the ability to form a peripheral vision reflex is a potential victim.

Visit my site and perform the demonstration of subliminal sight and habituation in peripheral vision. You will witness something pop out of sight, like magic, while you observe it in peripheral vision. That's how exposure happens without the victim being aware.

Is L K Tucker saying that using a home computer causes a psychotic break that leads to mass murder? And here I thought it was government mind control and, of course, language control. Silly me.

It would help if you actually read my site and learned what caused the mental problem.

Today it is incorrect computer use but the phenomenon was discovered and solved before they existed.

L. K.

You seem quite serious about this. I had jury duty this week and it's slowed me down, but I'll take a look at your site and let you know what I think.

L. K.

I just want to say that I started to look at your website. There is a lot of information there, and it will take me a while to digest it.

Again, however, I want to make it clear that, to me, this incident is not about Loughner himself- it is about the people whose hate speech licensed him to do what he did. I think we are going to discover that he really did have limited control over his actions; the people that willingly generated the atmosphere of violence which overwhelmed him know perfectly well what they are doing.
