From the New York Times, and the occasion for all kinds of mindless belligerence from the Republican fifth of our country:
"Senior staff members of the United Nations nuclear agency have concluded in a confidential analysis that Iran has acquired “sufficient information to be able to design and produce a workable” atom bomb."
A good reason to blow them to kingdom come, apparently.
Listen, guys, every physics graduate student in the world has "“sufficient information to be able to design and produce a workable atom bomb." What they don't have, and what Iran doesn't have either, is the material necessary to build a bomb.
I have sufficient information to be able to design and produce a crude fifty foot tall solid gold statue of Dick Cheney beating a chimpanzee with a baseball bat. All I need is the gold.
Has it ever occurred to these people that practically everyone has "sufficient information" to run out in the street and start stabbing everyone in sight with a bread knife? Is that an excuse to start randomly killing people, just in case that's what they're up to?
George Bush really gave these guys a taste for mindless killing, didn't he? And they are doing anything they can to get another chance to go on a murderous rampage.
Although, in fairness I must add that to a lot of Republicans, it might be a capital offense to have "sufficient information" about anything, given that not having information seems to be a prerequisite to being on their side.

I don;t think you need to be a physics graduate student to possess the information necessary to build an atomic bomb - it took me ten seconds to find several designs on the web - pretty much all of the information had been public domain for decades and while all of the math may not be on a single site - it, too, is easily obtainable. For anyone who'd like to build one, I'd probably start here:

Of course, a supply of fissionable material is somewhat harder to come by...
Yeah, Mastercynic, I wouldn't be surprised if you had all the stuff in your garage. And probably the screwdriver and the allen wrench that came in the Ikea box with the kit.
