Pirates
If you happened to be reading the right wing blogs the last few days, you would have found an avalanche of abuse directed toward President Obama because one man remained in the hands of Somali pirates. Here's a typical example from Red State:
"The Eunuch-in-Chief shows his ineptitude by negotiating with terrorists
“Obama has remained silent”. Somehow I have this vision of him in his closet in a fetal position with his blanky and his binky (apologies to TOTUS), rocking back and forth and calling for his mommy because he is utterly incapable of dealing with a real crisis."
They took this situation to be conclusive evidence that Obama was a weak, incompetent appeaser like (in their opinion) all Democrats. Well, here's today's pirate news, from Yahoo:
"MOMBASA, Kenya – An American ship captain was freed unharmed Sunday in a swift firefight that killed three of the four Somali pirates who had been holding him for days in a lifeboat off the coast of Africa, the ship's owner said."
Yes, after carefully waiting for the right opportunity, the U. S. Navy rescued the hostage and killed the pirates.
As your observer of the right wing world, I will be regaling you in coming days with their effusive compliments to Obama for a job well done.
