Good Plan, Guys
From Townhall, a suggestion on how Republicans should react if Democrats decide to pass health care reform without their consent:
"According to a former Senate Republican leadership aide, the GOP might first go after White House nominations. Republicans could require each appointee to get a separate hearing and a separate roll call vote. They could stop attending committee hearings, and decline to provide “unanimous consent” to move forward on even the most benign issues or routine Senate business. Republicans could also demand that the text of bills, which are often hundreds of pages long, be read aloud.
In other words, Republicans can essentially bring the Senate to a standstill if the Dems push through reconciliation. Awesome!"
Man, I agree. Awesome! With the economy still on the edge of a cliff, with 600,000 more unemployed every month, with our health care system a total disaster, there is nothing that could be more valuable to the American people than the sight of the Republican party bringing our government to a complete halt. I hope you go with this, guys. Please. What this country needs more than anything else is a good lesson in the disloyal, self serving criminality necessary to rise in the Republican party today.
