53%

From a survey by Rasmussen Reports:

"Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 20% disagree and say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.

Adults under 30 are essentially evenly divided: 37% prefer capitalism, 33% socialism, and 30% are undecided. Thirty-somethings are a bit more supportive of the free-enterprise approach with 49% for capitalism and 26% for socialism. Adults over 40 strongly favor capitalism, and just 13% of those older Americans believe socialism is better."

Well, how about that? You know what? I bet you that two or three years ago, the number preferring socialism wouldn't have broken 5 or 10%.

That's what you Republicans get, for spending the last year creating your stupid myth about a war between Republican capitalists and Democratic socialists, after serving the American people a whole garbage pile of evidence about just how well they were doing under capitalism.

YOU created an American populace that is more and more inclined toward socialism. And let me tell you, under-30's thought about socialism about as much as they thought about monkeys on the moon before YOU made it seem a viable alternative.

Good work, guys. Talk about supplying the rope for your own hanging.
