Wingnut Wrapup

I really felt like I was visiting a different planet when I read some of this stuff today. What could possibly motivate people to say things like this:

Vladimir, Red State: "Birds, Turtles and the Oil Spill...Endangered Species along our Fragile Coastline deserve protection from this scourge."

At last- a conservative ready to place blame where it belongs! No, wait, he's not talking about BP:

"Due to heightened interest in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, media aircraft have been conducting low flights and landings on Breton National Wildlife Refuge’s Chandeleur Islands. These flights and landings threaten the very birds that the media are covering and that the public is concerned about. Federal regulation prohibits flights and landings that disturb wildlife on refuges. …And the oil company gets blamed, as per usual."

Yes, you read that right! It is not BP that is responsible for the ecological damage from the oil spill, it is the liberal media! Why didn't we realize that all along?

Now here's a scandal with no legs:

Moe Lane, Red State: "Is Robert Gibbs allowed to give test[i]monials like this?

#FF@CraigatFEMA so you know the latest @RevCycles a great bike store & special thanks to Ken and others there for helping me with my bike

Is it permissible for him to endorse a private company like this while acting in his professional capacity as White House Press Secretary?"

Yes indeed, thanking the store that fixed his bike is now an ethical violation far worse than, say, the vice president making tens of millions of dollars by steering "no-bid" corrupt contracts to his company.

Scott Ott, Pajamas Media: "NY Times, Seizing on Fear, Pushes Civil Rights Restrictions"

This would be keeping terrorists from buying guns- a massive assault on our civil rights.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Thick Blobs of Tar Begin Washing Up on Alabama Shore – Obama Goes Golfing"

But wait, there's more:

"Obama Goes Golfing as Nashville Suffers From Biggest Disaster Since Civil War"

That would be a flood in Nashville. Apparently, Obama is not allowed a second away from his job. I am sure Jim is still fuming in indignation that George Bush spent a third of his time in office on vacation. No?

Alan Caruba, Renew America: "Why are we still asking why?"

Because you are too stupid to figure it out yourself, and you won't listen when someone tries to explain it to you. That's why, Alan.

Astute Bloggers: "FOR THEIR ROLE IN 9/11, MUMBAI AND TIMES SQUARE, IT'S TIME TO ISOLATE AND NEUTRALIZE PAKISTAN'S JIHADISTS...CARPET BOMB THESE REGIONS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS UNTIL THEY ARE DEVOID OF JIHAD...IF WE ARE AGAIN ATTACKED BY PAKISTANI-BASED/ALLIED TERRORISTS - THEN WE SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR TO PAKISTAN THAT WE WILL NUKE PAKISTAN'S MAJOR CITIES."

The appropriate answer to two unsuccessful, pathetic attempts at violence: kill tens of millions of innocent people, in the biggest tantrum in the history of the world. Very adult of you.

Sher Zieve, Renew America: "So as not to be outdone by the Clinton Administration, The Obama seems bent upon creating a Waco-type incident that will allow him to bring down his opposition and firmly establish his Marxist regime and his increasingly anti-human policies. "

Man, talk about living on another planet. And here is a comment from another denizen of some other galaxy:

Andrew Thomas, American Thinker: "Did "left-wing media" trigger the Times Square Bomber? Did the virulent hatred spewed by leftist MSM commentators push him into becoming a radical Islamic terrorist?"

Andrew, grow up. And now the answer to the oil spill:

Astute Bloggers: "we humans getting involved in how the Earth cleans an oil spill makes about as much sense as a Doctor deciding to digest a patient's food outside of his body. We would only conceive of such to help in the gravest of situations.

But, the Earth is not in trouble. And, neither are human beings.

No matter how apocalyptic the diagnoses of the Green Movement might get, they can never shake the truth that the Earth, as an self-regulating organic system, is perfectly capable of eating, drinking, and breathing anything within it's biosphere."

So forget about making BP pay for the damage it caused. In fact, everything is fine, and in a few hundred years, there won't be a trace of the oil spill. Well, that's comforting. See, who needs government to get involved, except when we can blame Obama for not getting involved, although when he does get involved, we blame him for that too. It all makes so much sense. It makes sense if you are an ignorant, violent, racist, greed maddened, corrupt scum- i.e. if you are a Republican.

Uh...I've got some lovely friends who are Pakistani-Americans. When my Mom was dying they were right by her side, praying and holding my hand and hers. I don't want to carpet-bomb their relatives in the old country. Does this make me a bad person?

Either you support killing every non-Christian on the planet or Jesus will hate you.

And isn't oil "plant food" like CO2?

Since human beings are the infestation causing the earth's distress, I can only conclude - The Earth Is Going To Eat Us!

Kill it now!

Sincerely,
