Not that it means anything, but I wonder how many people know that the original name of BP was the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company.
I can not verify, however, that their corporate slogan is "causing disasters wherever we set foot."

'Anglo-Persian Oil Company' before that. Bribed Churchill to lobby the British government to help them steal the natural wealth of the country.
Churchill? That wouldn't be the same Winston Churchill whose conservative policies were responsible for the creation of the country we know today as Iraq, would it?
What a guy.
Yes that Churchill.
An inspirational figure at times, but history has been very very kind to him.
Less so to what was once Persia.
And we haven't even begun to talk about Gallipoli.
In all fairness, he did a pretty good job during World War II, and (hard to believe in a conservative) it was his administration that accepted the notion of government provided medical care, and came up with its structure, although the program was not enacted until the next administration.
I'm surprised and impressed that you know about Gallipoli.
