Newt Explains How to Run Things:
"There will be no need for the Senate to waste their time interviewing President Barack Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court if Newt Gingrich has his way. Fox News' Chris Wallace asked Gingrich Sunday what he thought of the nomination of Elena Kagan.
"I think the president should withdraw it," said Gingrich. "You don't need a lot of hearings."
Damned right. And he should withdraw every candidate until he picks one that meets with the approval of this filthy crook. Maybe Joe the Plumber, huh?
Because Democrats never have a mandate to carry out their duty. The mandate in this country belongs by right to people like Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh, and if you try to take it away from them, say by the grossly unfair strategy of winning elections, get ready for one huge tantrum.
But Wait- There's More:
"Wallace: You also write this on the screen: "The secular socialist machine represents as great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did." Mr. Speaker, respectfully, isn't that wildly over the top?
Gingrich: No"Words fail me (which they so rarely do) to express how contemptible this kind of talk, from an alleged major party leader, is. We aren't even allowed to criticize Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, without a storm of abuse from the right. But it's just fine for a former congressional leader to compare Obama to Stalin and Hitler. Where, oh where, does this all end?
