Wingnut Wrapup

Let's just clear out the accumulated detritus here, as I may not be able to deal with this for a couple of days.

Matt Vespa, Town Hall:  "Paul Ryan Is Going To Be Fine"

Because Republicans don't care if he is a craven worm, as long as he promises to cut their taxes.  Even when we have twenty years proof that he is lying.  They still fall for it every time.

Pat Buchanan, Town Hall:  "After the crushing defeat of 1964, Govs. Nelson Rockefeller, George Romney and William Scranton, whose principles required them to abandon Barry Goldwater, discovered that, when the cheering of the press stopped, they carried the mark of Cain.  As national leaders, they were finished.

As national Republican leaders, of course.  No displays of "principles" allowed there.

Matt Vespa, Town Hall:  "What Venezuelans Make An Hour Under Socialism Is Appalling"

You've got to get a laugh out of this one- a Republican getting indignant about a government setting the minimum wage too low.

Cortney O'Brien, Town Hall:  "New Pro-life Ad Features Mom Who Says Hillary Doesn’t Cherish Her Baby’s Life"

Republicans cherish your baby's life, all right, mom, just not enough to spend a nickel keeping it healthy.

Neil Stevens, Red State:  "Darrell Castle Refuses To Deny He’s A 9/11 Truther"

Who the hell is Darrell Castle?

Streiff, Red State:  "New Poll Shows Donald Trump Changing the Electoral Map"

Yeah, it used to look like this:

After Trump it will be all Red:

And now, two stories that appeared at Red State right after each other:

B. L. Bennett:  "Red State Is Not the Place for Smears"

Evilbloggerlady:  "Lying Crooked Hillary and the Media attempt to take Trump out"

Okay, then.

Stephen Kruiser, PJ Media:  "Trump's Rumored Endorsement of Paul Ryan Would Put Ann Coulter in REALLY Awkward Position"

Boy, we're feeling bad about that.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "ANOTHER MYSTERIOUS DEATH=> Activist and Sanders Supporter Who Served Papers to DNC on Fraud Case Found Dead"

Hilary killed again!!!!  Of course, the medical examiner said that the guy committed suicide, and it was not "mysterious" at all, but then, well, BENGHAZI!!!!   E-MAILS!!!  VINCE FOSTER!!!

I think she's up to 80 or so now.  No kidding, some of the wingnut lists of her murders are that long.

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Busted! Crooked Media Plays With Polling Numbers To Pretend Georgia Is Hillary Country...Another day – another blatant example of the media manipulating polls to discourage Trump voters."

Discouraging Trump voters by "playing" with poll numbers- i.e. by reporting them.  Get ready, folks...the unskewing is on the way, and it's only early August.  It wasn't until mid-October that this started last time around, but then, well, things aren't looking so good this time.

And now, we are seeing some incredible specimens of detachment from reality coming from Republicans, as their world is collapsing around them.  More is sure to come, but this is one of the highlights of their crackup so far:

Wes Vernon, Renew America:  "Hillary's failed "reset": Arming an untrustworthy Putin...If any one issue can save an otherwise flailing effort to stop Hillary Clinton from her path to the White House, it will be her handing the potential keys to America's ultimate destruction into the hands of America's enemies."

Yes, we have just learned that:  1. It was Hillary who needed to reset her campaign after the primaries.  2. Hillary is the one who is enabling Putin.  3. It is Hillary who is handing the keys to our destruction to our enemies, not the guy who is collaborating with their spy service.

I used to joke about Republicans living on another planet, but this is not funny any more; particularly since 40% of the American people seem to be buying into it.  Want to hear a little more of this nightmare?

"So here's the way it works: The Clintons get their donations and speaking fees in the millions. The Russians get access to American technology. And tech companies (including Intel, Microsoft) get access to Russian markets and workers (as unemployment in the U.S. remains dismal) ....and...and..."

You see, when any other person on earth does this, it's called capitalism and is hailed as an achievement for the ages.  When the Clintons do it, it is an abomination from Satan.

"America, on the other hand, ends up with "nothing"

What exactly these guys think America should "end up with," we will never know.  How much of Trump's casinos did America "end up with," I wonder, other than the debts that resulted from their bankruptcies.

Natasha Bertrand, Business Insider:  "It looks like Russia hired internet trolls to pose as pro-Trump Americans"

This sort of story is coming to you now, not from Daily Kos or Crooks and Liars, but from right wing websites.  Go figure.

Robert Romano, Polizette:  "UN Backs Secret Obama Takeover of Police...The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has provided oversight and recommendations for improvement of police services in a number of cities"

Another Obama abomination, improving police services.  A sure sign of an imminent UN takeover.  "Polizette" is a new site for me, but it promises to reward us with a few laughs in the future, given its content:

Brendan Kirby, Polizette:  "Obama Jailbreak Releases Drug Kingpins"

Actually a pardon of a few nonviolent drug offenders, but hey, let's dress it up a little, what?  When a Democratic President uses his powers, it is an abominable crime.

Kathryn Blackhurst, Polizette:  "Reporter Apparently Unpunished for Colluding with Dems"

He let the DNC see a story before publishing it, to check the accuracy of a couple of paragraphs.  Even the sleazebags at Polizette didn't have the nerve to claim that he let them change it.   By this standard, they'll be getting the Guillotines ready for the staff of Fox News.  Nothing about that in the story of course.

Edmund Kozek, Politifact:  "Hillary’s Issue-Free Campaign...The Clinton campaign staying in attack mode because it has nothing to defend"

Another milestone in the art of projection.  Well, enough of them today.  We don't want to fish out the whole species in one go.

Carl Jackson, World Net Daily:  "It'll be Donald 'Chump' if he stays on defense"

If he stays on defense.  Yeah, that's the ticket.  He's staying on defense too much.  Right.  Now that we know the whole problem with his campaign- he's been too shy!- he'll be zooming up in the polls any day now.

Larry Klayman, World Net Daily:  "THE ASSASSINATION OF DONALD J. TRUMP"

Larry is against it.  Go figure.  Well,

"Not that the Donald is perfect. He sometimes does not phrase his thoughts in a “thoughtful way,” but he is not the devil like Obama"

Whatever, Larry.  I thought you guys had decided that Hillary is the devil.  There can't be two of them, you know.

Jonathan F. Keilier, American Thinker:  "Three Things Trump Must Do but Probably Won’t"

1. Shut up
2. Go away
3. Never come back

Probably not Jonathan F. Keiler's list, but it would be nice, huh?

Jack Hellner, American Thinker:  "Obama's news conference: Everything wrong with Democrats, encapsulated"

Well, I'm glad he got over with it in an hour.  It would take a month to list all the things wrong with Republicans.

And let's not ignore this vital news:

Before it's News:  "Russian Scientists Battled Monster Under Antarctic Ice"

Oh God, run for the hills.  For a more detailed account of this story, I suggest you look here.

Brandon Moore, Red State:  "There’s Good Reason to Believe Clinton’s Health Is Far Worse Than We Think"

Yeah, there's a reason.  Faced with your own candidate being nothing but a traitorous madman, how else are you going to get people to vote for him except by telling lies about Hillary.  Maybe if people can be convinced that she is doddering on the edge of the grave, they will vote for Trump, right?

Michael Van der Galien, PJ Media:  "Erdogan's Fascist Supporters Take to the Internet With Veiled Threats, Deny Anything Is Wrong in Turkey"

Sound like anyone else you know?

Derek Hunter, Town Hall:  "A Post-Convention Bounce…Or Splat?"

Hillary got a bounce?  Just because the numbers say so? Numbers?  Phooey!  Derek continues:

"In the primary it is easy to be a little crazy, to say absurdist things to get attention and hoover up the oxygen of media coverage. It’s always worked, to one degree or another, though not as well as it did for Trump. But the primary election is not the general election."

It is for you guys, Derek.  Deal with it.

And a little more delusion with that coffee, folks?

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit:  "Social Media Patterns Show Trump Is Looking at a Landslide Victory"

Keep telling yourself that, Jim.  The more deluded you are on election day, the more likely it is that you will have a stroke, and we will be rid of one hate-filled bastard for good.

"... Ann Coulter in REALLY Awkward Position"

The Ann Coulter whose reaction to the Fukushima disaster was to say that the nuclear contamination would make people healthier.

The best position for Ann Coulter - yes I'll be a gentleman about it... - would be for her to offer her services as a water taste tester at Hanford.
