Be Careful What You Ask For

Well, Donald Trump's strategy of dominating the news so he gets tons of free air time without having to pay for it, has been working out great the last week.

How's that going for you, Donald?

I don't think the RNC can get him to shut up and act nice for too much time. His continued pokes at Senator Warren on twitter are just the smallest of the fissures the RNC have to plug, and the take no prisoners act versus anyone who opposes him will make him a weapon of mass destruction. Once Hillary starts in, I'm guessing the ability of the GOP to distance themselves from whatever Trump says will be extremely limited, as he will be their nominee, and thus the national face of the party. I'd be lying if I said I was sorry for their predicament, but they made their bed...

I'm with you, Marc. I think Hillary has demonstrated that she can drive him over the edge when she thinks it's time to do it. As I've said, a couple more performances like we saw last week and the Republicans will be forced to find a way to ditch him, so I suspect that Hillary's people are smart enough to hold back until it's too late. Trump is the face of the party now, because they have been building a base that wants exactly that. They're stuck with him now, and if they do ditch him, I predict they will end up with something even worse next time around.

I keep quoting H. P. Lovecraft: "Do not call up that which you cannot put down." Pretty much sums it up.

I'm betting that Trump's $2billion of 'free publicity' is bad for the media titans...they want candidates to be forced to spend BIG real $$! I wonder how they will respond.
