The sickness never ends:
Fox News: "'Green' Industry Eating Up Additional $4.5 Billion Tax Dollars...Fox News discusses a new loan guaranteed by the government for solar panel industry to the tune of $4.5 billion. "
Note that this is a loan guarantee, not a gift like our endless subsidies to the oil companies. But, of course, it is far worse, because green energy is eating the money, rather than receiving it as the just spoils of war- class war in this case.
In response to the above news, "Redneck 48" writes:
"Let me see if I understand this. We're going to loan 4.5 billion to build more solar panels that are not as efficient or productive as natural gas or coal fired power plants"
You got it, redneck. You actually understood something for once. Of course, that solar energy will be with us forever, while natural gas and coal are going to be used up pretty soon. But then, who gives a damn about the world our children and grandchildren will have to live in, right? Screw them.
Dennis Prager, Town Hall: "Four years ago, I wrote a column titled "America Needs a July Fourth Seder."
Right, Dennis. God, is this guy a moron. Does he think he's even going to get Jews to eat gefilte fish more than once a year?
Rich Galen, Town Hall: "President Barack Obama held a rare news conference on Wednesday to show that he was Daddy-In-Chief of the whole wide U.S. of A. "
With Republicans acting like spoiled children, Rich, someone has to do it.
And now, the most pathetic political argument of the week:
Town Hall: "Corporate Jets Are Made By People, Too, Mr. President"
Yes indeed, if we don't give the rich a huge subsidy to buy private jets, it is really an attack on working people. See how many suckers you can find to fall for that one, guys.
And the "This has got to end well" award:
Town Hall: "Guns in Bars Now Allowed in Ohio"
Great. Glad they're keeping their eyes on the job in the Ohio legislature.
Michael Ledeed, Pajamas Media: "Obama's Joke of a Counterterrorism Strategery...Do you really think that AQ is the most serious “security threat” to the United States? Even the unlamented Richard Armitage knew that the most dangerous terrorist organization is Hezbollah "
Oh, I see. When George Bush spent two trillion dollars chasing Bin Laden in the wrong country, Al Qaida was the worst thing since the black plague. But now that Obama actually caught Bin Laden, suddenly Al Qaida is nothing, and another terrorist group, which has never done a thing in this country, is our real enemy. Where oh where would we ever be without right wingers to explain things to us?
Barry Rubin, Pajamas Media: "Reuters Airbrushes a Major U.S. Policy Shift Toward the Muslim Brotherhood"
"Airbrushes" in this case, of course, being roughly translatable as "fails to repeat the appropriate right wing lie about it."
David Solway, Pajamas Media: "The Coming of the Fourth Reich? You — or your kids — will be assimilated: the "liberal" university prepares the totalitarian future...As with the German universities of the 1930s, modern universities throughout the “free world” have become factories of political indoctrination in which history is reinterpreted as a chronicle of infamy and the young are conscripted into the army of those who promise the advent of a golden millennium."
Yes indeed, you read that right (if you made it through- this is one of the most boring, pedamtic, turgid articles I have ever read.) Liberal professors are just like Nazi Germany, and they are working to bring back Hitler! Very strange, because Hitler removed, and largely exterminated, all of the liberal professors in Germany. But don't worry about that. Just believe what you are told and shut up.
Paul Hsieh, Pajamas Media: "Why the 'Unexpected' Keeps Happening...Why do so many journalists describe Obama's foreseeable economic failures as “unexpected?"
Why, Paul? I'll tell you why. It's because, much like Obama himself, after a thousand lessons to teach them the truth, they still can't wrap their minds around the fact that the Republican party is actively working to destroy our economy, because they would rather rule a devastated wreck than participate in a functioning democracy. That's why, and you are helping them achieve their goal as fast as possible. Thanks a lot.
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "WI Firefighters Boycott 4th of July Parade Honoring 9-11 Heroes Due to Politics"
A lie, as usual. Par for the course with Jim. Funny how the right wingers have turned against firefighters. They aren't even willing to pay taxes for that.
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "UNION PROTESTERS Harass Black Conservative Rep. Tim Scott Outside His Office"
"Haarass," of course, being Jim Hoft shorthand for Rep. Tim Scott's constituents trying to ask him some questions.
Gary Horne, Pajamas Media: "Suckered into Social Security"
We were a much better country when millions of old people lived in abject poverty. And even though you paid for Social Security benefits your whole working life, you are still nothing but a welfare chiseler if you collect anything in return. No, that money really belongs to Wall Street guys and banks, who deserved the trillion dollars in bailouts we gave them after they sent the economy into the sewer.
And now, the Power of Positive Thinking:
Mark J. Fitzgibbons, American Thinker: "I don't discount that Lennon became dissatisfied with the left"
Not one shred of evidence, of course, but then this guy probably believes Hitler was a liberal, and the earth is six thousand years old, too.
And now, our award for most adult conservative political discourse of the day:
Astute Bloggers: MORE PROOF THAT OBAMA IS A FILTHY PIECE OF CR*P
OBAMA WILL GLADLY TALK WITH THE TALIBAN AND HAPPILY CHAT WITH THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD IN EGYPT, BUT HE WILL NOT MEEY WITH THE SENATE GOP IN DC.
THAT TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS INEPT, IMMORAL CORRUPT, GOLF-PLAYING, LYING, LEFT-WING PIECE OF SH*T. "
The Taliban and the Muslim Brotherhood are not working to destroy America. The Senate GOP is. Deal with that, Astute ones. And for the hundredth time: you can get a new keyboard for $16.95. How about getting one with a caps lock key that works?
Enough, already. See you soon.
