Wingnut Wrapup
I thought I might start out with a little coverage of the right wing reaction to yesterday's White House meeting with Republicans over the budget:
Ann Coulter, Town Hall: "McConnell's deal cleanly takes the debt ceiling issue off the Republicans' back and puts it on the president's back. Either the Democrats tell us what they'll cut or they'll have to admit: "We will never cut anything. Everything Ann Coulter says about us is true!"
You mean, like when she called Democrats traitors and Communists who should be violently destroyed?
Ben Howe, Red State: "More Union Workers Smoking Pot on the Job...Meanwhile, President Obama would rather storm out of a meeting than cut spending that enables behavior like this."
I see. It's government spending that causes people to smoke pot. Who knew?
Erick Erickson, Red State: "Playing the role of Hollywood President, not the real President, the President said he didn’t care if this brought down his Presidency and he would not yield."
I have to sort of agree with Erick here. As far as I can tell, only in Hollywood do Democrats actually stand up for what they believe in.
Astute Bloggers: "Somebody please tell Obama that politics is the art of the possible...... and that you don't make deals by storming out of meetings like an inexperienced petulant little spoiled leftist brat."
Well, you don't make deals by letting corrupt Republicans have what they want either. I'll take the storming out. Of course, being a right wing claim it never happened, but it would have been nice if he had finally had enough and told them to sod off. I guess that only happens in Hollywood too.
Streiff, Red State: "This isn’t a surprise to anyone who has been playing attention to our child president over the past three years. The Obama administration has been a veritable Mecca for narcissism and incompetence from the time Obama took the oath of office."
Except this time, Streiff. Oh yeah, and then there was that Osama thing.
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Thanks Barack… Moody’s Threatens to Drop Aaa Bond Rating For First Time Since 1917"
Well, everything else is his fault. I guess deliberate Republican attempts to sabotage the economy in order to get rid of him are his fault too.
Well, that's enough of that. Too much, really. Now, on to the ordinary maunderings of the right:
Mike Adams, Town Hall: "A Queer and Present Danger"
Believe me, you don't even want to know what this one is about.
David Swindle, Pajamas Media: "Mila Kunis on Casual Sex: 'It's like communism—good in theory, in execution it fails'
Boy, you must be doing it wrong, Mila. I'm not dating you.
Erik Rush, World Net Daily: "Slavery is generally justified for largely economic reasons, but it does play to the baser nature of the slaver: the ability to hold sway over another."
NOW I see. Slavery is actually a really good thing for the economy, but we shouldn't have it because it has such a destructive psychological effect on the slave owners. After all, there are things that are more important than the economy, right? Like the sad fate of these poor white people. Eric humorously continues:
Our president employs real, live communist czars and Cabinet members."
And finally, he leaves us with this sage observation:
"but no one seems to care about being outed as a liar anymore."
Well, Eric, at least you don't. Sheesh, how idiotic do you think people are?
World Net Daily Breaking News: "Today! Farah sits in for vacationing G. Gordon Liddy"
Oh boy, that should be a treat.
And now here's another nominee for The Scandal that Won't Go Anywhere:
World Net Daily: "Atheist depicts whole Bible in Lego blocks: Ministry, parody or blasphemy?"
Personally, I think it's way too much free time.
John T. Bennett, American Thinker: "Racial Violence and the Conspicuous Silence of the Media..A wave of racial violence the media resolutely refuses to report fully."
They refuse to report it...and for no other reason than that it doesn't exist. That's certainly not how they write the news on the right side of the political spectrum.
Lloyd Marcus, American Thinker: "The Black Code: Why Obama Still Owns The Black Vote"
Maybe because they aren't as stupid as white people? That's my guess.
Tom Suhadolnik, American Thinker: "How to fix the budget in 72 hours"
Throw all the Republican congressmen in prison?
Jerry Shenk, American Thinker: "Are Conservatives Being Fair to Barack Obama? "
Oh, of course they are. He really is an anti-American Communist Muslim Satanist who was born in Kenya and isn't really the President. Everyone knows that.
Astute Bloggers: "MORE ANTISEMITISM FROM OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS: THEY BLAME ERIC CANTOR"
So that's the explanation- I should have thought of it before. It's not that Cantor is a corrupt corporate tool who is deliberately trying to sabotage the economy so Obama will lose in 2012. No, that has nothing to do with it. It's because he's Jewish. That makes so much sense.
And here's the award for adult political discourse of the day:
Astute Bloggers: "OBAMA: "LE TWAT C'EST MOI"
No comment needed.
And now, The Major Threat To Democracy of the Day:
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: "Documents Show Obama Staffer Threatened to Stuff Dead Fish in FOX News Cubby"
Oh my God, how will the nation ever survive? We need a special prosecutor RIGHT NOW!
Rick Moran, American Thinker: "Bachmann haul for 2nd quarter: $4 million- The Big Mo"
Obama totals for 2nd quarter: $86 million. Means nothing, of course. It probably all came from George Soros. Republicans never take money from rich people.
And, to finish off for today, a wise word of Constitutional scholarship for us all to ponder:
Renew America: "Miss America: Obama shirking the Constitution...Scanlan scored Obama poorly for his faithfulness to the Constitution, saying that “there are definitely issues there that he’s not paying attention [to] like he should,” and suggested “ignorance” might be to blame since constitutional law is no longer stressed in school curriculums."
"Constitutional law is no longer stressed in school curriculums." I wonder if that includes Harvard Law School. Well, I'm sure Teresa is fully qualified to address that subject. After all, Teresa Scanlan did teach constitutional law at one of America's most prestigious universities. Oh wait, that's not quite right:
"Scanlan was home-schooled until her junior year of high school, before attending Gering High School part-time for half of her junior year...In her spare time, Teresa enjoys singing, acting, dancing, playing piano and guitar, composing songs, baking, participating in activities with her local church, and making clothes out of duct tape, among many other hobbies."
Whoops, my bad. It was Obama who was on the Harvard Law Review and taught constitutional law. Teresa Scanlan is an eighteen year old who was home schooled (where, perhaps, she learned constitutional law by attending a brilliant series of lectures by her mother,) and who makes clothes out of duct tape. To the right wing, that makes her far more qualified than Barack Obama to decide what the Constitution means. I wish I was just being sarcastic when I said that.
Enough already. More than enough, really.

HAHAHAHAHA...... took all the wind out f my sails. Erickscum usually makes my blood boil.
She also dated the kid from Home Alone, which explains the other dissatisfaction.
