The Most Pointless Speech Ever Made

This one:

"Obama calls on both parties to work together for deficit reduction in weekly address"

Unless what he is really calling for is for Democrats to cave in to corrupt Republican demands like he always does.  Then, the speech does have a point- a really bad one.

Obama continues:

" We agree that after a decade of racking up deficits and debt, we finally need to get our fiscal house in order. We agree that to do that, both sides are going to have to step outside their comfort zones and make some political sacrifices."

No, Barack, we don't all agree with that.  There are lots of us (probably a majority) who believe that the people who caused this problem- big business, Wall Street and the politicians who do their bidding- should pay the price of this disaster.  That is not sacrifice, it is justice.  As a start, let's return the top tax rate to what it was under Bill Clinton, raise corporate taxes, and impose crippling tariffs on American companies who have decided to manufacture their products in third world countries and sell them here. And a few thousand businessmen in Federal prison wouldn't hurt, either.
