The Dumbest Republican Conspiracy Theory In Months
Republican (I guess that goes without saying) Congressman Tom Cotton:
Right. Because there is nothing that Mexican drug cartels want more than to see a highly increased U.S. law enforcement presence on the border. That will be just great for business.
"Groups like the Islamic State collaborate with drug cartels in Mexico who have clearly shown they’re willing to expand outside the drug trade into human trafficking and potentially even terrorism.
They could infiltrate our defenseless border and attack us right here in places like Arkansas."
Right. Because there is nothing that Mexican drug cartels want more than to see a highly increased U.S. law enforcement presence on the border. That will be just great for business.

The United States southern boarder is far, far, far, from defenseless.
This desire to live in some vast armed compound, gazing out upon the even-more-desperate like they were a mindless horde of zombies. There’s something very un-modern about it.
There is only one way to deal with that problem: help make those countries less of a hell that any sane person would want to flee.
By the way, about this fear of Ebola:
You have to be in contact with the fluids of someone suffering full blown symptoms in order to contract it. It’s not like the flu. You could share a bus seat with someone who is a carrier provided they haven’t got fever yet and stand next to no chance of getting it. And even if they had the signs it would take direct fluids contact to get it.
It’s a very serious business yes…. But this hysteria is all, well… hysteria. Worry about getting shot by some moron of a neighbour cleaning his gun. The odds are so much higher.
