Wingnut Wrapup

Stories I won't be covering:  Dr. Kermit Gosnell.  This guy seems to be a truly malignant human being who is on trial for committing numerous murders of live babies at his "abortion" practice before it was closed in 2011.  He's now on trial for multiple counts of murder.  After ignoring this case for two years, the wingnut blogosphere has erupted in stories about it.  A sample of ten of my most followed right wing blogs today reveals 62 stories about this case, screaming about the mainstream media for not covering a story which they themselves utterly ignored until a few days ago.  This is a classic example of the right wing echo chamber in action, churning out endless outrage on the scandal of the day.

I'm hardly going to defend Gosnell, considering what he seems to have done, so I'll just leave it there.  On to the rest of the wingnuts:

Daniel J. Mitchell, Town Hall:  "Why Are Young Americans Supportive of Obama When His Policies Are So Bad for Them?"

Why can't we bang it through their heads that the Iraq war, the economic collapse and the tax giveaways to rich people that happened during the Bush administration are all Obama's fault?  What's the matter with kids these days?  I mean, do they really think that having health care is a decent substitute for getting to pay for a failed war?

Heather Ginsberg, Town Hall:  "Hundreds of Texas Educators Take Free Concealed Handgun Class"

Texas.  What else can you say?

Mike Shedlock, Town Hall:  "Canada Unexpectedly Sheds 54,500 Jobs in March; Worst Job Loss in 4 Years; Canadian Dollar Tumbles "

As most of the commenters on this news are happy to point out, this is Obama's fault.

John Ransom, Town Hall:  "Charge Pot Use Off to Obamacare and You"

Marijuana?  That's Obama's fault also.

Moe Lane, Red State:  "Barack Obama blames US Navy for increased North Korean tensions."

I can't even explain this one to you.  It's either a complete lie or the results of way too much cheap whiskey.  Here's the explanation from Moe:

"So, it’s the Navy’s fault that the U.S.-North Korea spat has gone so far?  That’s the apparent message from senior administration officials who, according to the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, said that they had long planned to send B-52s, B-2 stealth bombers, and F-22 fighters to the Korean Peninsula as part of preplanned wargames with South Korea, but that they had not planned the recent deployment of Navy destroyers.  Last weekend, the U.S. ordered two guided-missile destroyers to the Western Pacific — the U.S.S. John S. McCain and the U.S.S. Decatur — to provide additional defense against North Korean ballistic missiles."

I can't even begin to understand the "logic" behind this one.  I guess anything that blames Obama for anything will be swallowed whole by right wingers.  I'm surprised I didn't see any right wing posts today blaming him for running out on the floor and injuring Kobe Bryant in last night's game.

Rachel Alexander, Town Hall:  "Sanford and Other Toxic Republicans Need to Step Aside for Electable Republicans"

And I am sure they will too, as soon as someone finds some electable Republicans.  Right now, they are in pretty short supply.

Bob Owens, Gun toting jackass:  " No, the Syrian rebels are not fielding AS-50 sniper rifles. Just more commie crap.  A Fox News story—among others—is claiming that Syrian rebel forces have acquired the AS-50 sniper rifle, “a favorite of Navy SEALs,” and video game fan boys everywhere.  The thing is, the video doesn’t support that claim, and points to another cheaper, less accurate rifle instead."

Apparently, Fox News are now Commies too.

Sylvia Thompson, Renew America:  "Marriage cannot be adequately supported outside of Scriptures...the Bible is that unassailable basis."

Man, I feel sorry for all of those Buddhists and Hindus and Shintoists, etc.  They've been living in sin for about eight thousand years.

Now, Conservative projection at its finest:

Repair Man Jack, Red State:  "Baby-Killers Are Nation-Killers As Well...Children are tough on the Me First Society. They expect to be fed or something. They take and take and take and rarely before their 21st birthday do you start getting that ROI. Once you’ve killed God and gone down the solipsistic wormhole far enough, they become parasites, aliens in a universe populated by only Me, Myself and I."

This from the half of the political spectrum for which the entire goal of life is "cut my taxes," and which erupts in violent hatred at the very idea of the government spending a penny on anyone but themselves.

Roger Kimball, PJ Media:  "Why They Hated Margaret Thatcher...She won the battle against the totalitarian temptation"

Ha.  That's a laugh.  They hated her because she destroyed the British economy.  And they still hate her because it has never recovered.  There's a reason why this 74 year old song has just risen to the top of the pop charts in England:

James simpson, World Net Daily:  "New danger: Police declaring war on citizens"

Man, I didn't even know that police could declare war.  I thought only Congress could do that.  Anyway, the main substance of this story seems to be an account of a company that was raided by police after three IRS audits.  It goes on and on for thousands of words. And it still doesn't make a shred of sense.

Astute Bloggers:  "ANOTHER DIPLOMAT IS KILLED, AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT BENGHAZI"

You still don't know the truth about whether the universe is older than 6000 years.

And the Crocodile Tears of the Week award:

John Piccione, Daily Caller:  "Gun bill championed by Democrats sharply limits rights of gay gun owners"

Sure, that's what you are so upset about, John.  The rights of gay people.  The rights of them to further enrich gun companies.

Breitbart News:  "Judge Jeanine on Texas DA Murders: Drug Profit, Not White Supremacy, Motivates Aryan Brotherhood"

That's why they named themselves the Aryan Brotherhood, I guess, instead of the Crystal Meth Brotherhood.  Because what is more Aryan than manufacturing crystal meth?  No way they could be right wingers.

John Sexton, Breitbart News:  "Melissa Harris-Perry Wants Us to Spend More Educating 'Our' Children"

The outrage!  How will we ever have enough money left for another war of aggression, the next time the Republicans are in charge?

David Limbaugh,  Town Hall:  "What right-minded person can deny the current uncanny applicability of the admonition by the Prophet Isaiah, uttered some 2,700 years ago, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness"?"

Well, given that this remark means just about noting, it's hard to deny it.  What I can deny, however, is that it is Democrats who are calling evil good and good evil.  That's the specialty of right wingers, when they hate the poor and favor the rich.

Kathy Shaidle, PJ Media:  "I’ve asked movie and music industry insiders to explain their respective businesses to me, and never end up any smarter than I start out.

As you’ve likely guessed, the bloated, ever-evolving technology required to bring those Jurassic Park raptors to virtual life is so costly, it burdens production companies with insurmountable debt.  We often read about how many weeks or months — or even years — it takes to create glossy special effects that last only seconds on screen.  Is that really a sound business model or a smart, efficient way to make anything?"

Having spent a career in film production, let me remind you of something.  It's not Hollywood's job to make you smarter, Kathy.  Our job is to make you dumber than when you started out.  Hard as it may be to believe in your case, I think we've accomplished our mission.  And by the way, Jurassic Park grossed $362 million, way back in the nineties, and is still the 16th largest grossing movie in history.  So I guess it is a sound business model.  Compare it to your recent Conservative blockbuster, Atlas Shrugged Part I, which grossed $4.7 million.  I guess you could have used some special effects or something on that one.

Garth Kant, World Net Daily:  "Palin, Beck flip out over MSNBC ad... Glenn Beck pointed out that the MSNBC network promo is not just some gaffe by a host or panelist.  “This is something that people thought about,” he said."

They thought about it.  Well, no wonder it upset Palin and Beck.

Joseph Farah, World Net Daily:  "Why does Obama fear armed citizenry?"

Why do you think, jerk?

And now, right wing empathy at its finest:

Michelle Malkin, Town Hall:  "No Tears for Lynne Stewart...The jihadists' favorite American lawyer, Lynne Stewart, reportedly has stage-4 breast cancer."

In case you don't remember, Lynne Stewart defended some Islamic fundamentalists.  She used her position as their lawyer to smuggle communications from them out of their prison, and was convicted and sent to jail.  I, for one, have no problem with that.  Michelle Malkin, however, is absolutely gleeful that this woman is dying a horrible death.  Pretty much par for the course with right wingers.

Michael Brown, Town Hall:  "Buy a Decongestant, Show ID; Buy an Abortion Pill, No ID"

You can't make methamphetamine out of abortion pills, dumbass.  You forgot to mention that, didn't you?

Erick Erickson, Red State:  "The Toomey-Manchin Proposal Will Allow Doctors to Block Your Right to Guns"

That's right, if doctors decide that you are a paranoid schizophrenic, they could take away your right to own a gun!  They could steal your FREEDOM!!!  Your freedom to enrich gun manufacturers in particular.  No one can be denied the right to own guns, even if they are stark raving loony!  Why, George Washington said in his third inaugural address "None of us is FREE unless crazy people can have all the automatic weapons they want!  FREEDOM!!!"  Well, no he didn't, but now that it is on the internet, this quote will appear in approximately five hundred right wing blogs by next Tuesday.  Because the second amendment is all about making sure that the least responsible people in the country can have all the guns they want.  FREEDOM, I tell you, FREEDOM!

CNN:  "Republican leaders in Congress received a dire warning on Tuesday from former Vice President Dick Cheney on the ongoing crisis in North Korea.  “We’re in deep doo doo,” Cheney told lawmakers, according to a GOP leadership aide."

Well, I am sure they appreciated the deeply thought out analysis from Cheney.  And I must admit that if anyone knows from personal experience when our country is in deep military doo doo, it would be Dick Cheney.

Dick in one of his thoughtful moods

"One lawmaker present at the session, Rep. Steve Southerland of Florida, said Cheney "looked really good, spoke really clearly, lucidly.”

Well, that is comforting.  This, apparently, is the Republican standard for lucid thought- a seventy year old man who was Vice President of the United States, talking about "doo doo."  No wonder none of them noticed when Reagan got Alzheimer's disease.

Whatafly For You:  "Apparently after centuries of quarrels and actions more or less dreadful, the Vatican, the aliens and UFOs have made a joint agreement."

Well, glad to hear they've worked it out.  Now, if they can just get together with the Texas Militia, they're set.

Guy Benson, Town Hall:  "If presidential politics ever involved time travel, President Obama might be in a little trouble. If an election between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were held today, 58% would vote for Reagan over Obama"

Great!  Next time run Reagan.  Because you don't have any live people who could win.  You have to lie about your guys for thirty years before you can get people to like them.

And now, just in case you didn't have enough to worry about today:

Mary Sullivan, News Cottage:  "THE JEWS THAT RUN THE US GOVERNMENT AND ALL NEWS IN AMERICA, PLAN TO SKIN WHITE BABIES ALIVE, USING BLACK-RACIST"

And then what, make lampshades out of them?  But wait, there's more:

Mary Sullivan, News Cottage:  "JEWS USE THE WORD "RACIST" TO SLAUGHTER WHITES ALL OVER AMERICA DAILY "

The word "racist."  The pen really is mightier than the sword.  And oh heck, let's just end with a little more sputtering nonsense from Mary:

"April 12, 2013  WASHINGTON  -- Black-racist Queer,  Obama , named KILL THE WHITES Jew, Eric P. Schwartz, a Jew-operator for Israel at the Marxist-University of Minnesota, to the Commission on International Religious Freedom to attack Christianity.
Jew=Schwartz, a White-hating Nazi, is on the boards of the Jew Immigrant Aid Society and of the Jew Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, was among several KILL ALL WHITES announced Thursday by Queer=Obama."

Whatever, Mary...

And let's not forget this horrible fact:

Andrew Anglin, Total Fascism:  "Jews Pushing Hate Propaganda Against Asians...When we see these Jews drumming up hate propaganda against the Asians, we should surely take note, and ask just what it is these sneaky Jews are up to."

This story is helpfully illustrated with the following:

Mysterious Mr. Moto
was made in 1938.  Here's the synopsis, from IMDB:

"Mr. Moto has himself imprisoned on Devil's Island so he can help his cellmate (Ames) escape and thereby get the goods on a gang of international killers."

When those Jews decide to launch a hate campaign against Asians, I guess they make it really subtle.  And plan it way in advance, too.

Isn't Steven Harper the Prime Minister of Canada? Isn't he a conservative? Hasn't he had that position since 1906? Isn't wealth disparity growing in Canada since Harper came into power? Couldn't that be their problem?
