The history of Europe in the 1930s and 1940s, when another great power, seeking a cheap way to victimize a large part of its population to benefit the majority race, also started a program of mass "deportation" of minorities, in order to provide its majority race with more land, more money, more of everything, at the expense of the others. There was a word for this: lebensraum, or "living space," the notion that the majority race deserved what it craved so much that it justified any abuse of those considered to be lesser humans. I believe you have not read this blog for all that long. I have, I think I may fairly say, considerable knowledge about Germany and Italy in the period 1900-1945, and over the last couple of years I have laid out exactly why I believe that the American right, with its short and very shallow memory of history, is absolutely recreating, as far as it is capable, the economic conditions which made the rise of Nazism possible. Furthermore, though the rank and file teabaggers are utterly incapable of facing this fact, the leaders of the right are working as fast as they can to complete the missing details, by deliberately triggering the sort of massive economic collapse that coerced the German people to give up their freedom.
I have dealt with right wingers for decades, and I know that you will never face this malignant truth, but it is true nevertheless.
